I won t review the casino side I don t know it, only the poker Aviation used to be one of the greatest place to play poker and it certainly retain some of its old glory unfortunatly it is on its dying breath The setting: it is one of paris oldest "cercles" (or private member club where the parisian elite came to gamble and smoke cigars in a plush refined atmosphere do not expect anything like you ever witnessed in a casino, no bling, no crumped space this is a refined and elegant place still it is not what it used to be in paris there has been a crackdown on those clubs and the law now impose strict requirements for membership: expect to pay 100EUR to become a member for a year even if you are a tourist consequently what was once the center of paris poker action just became a barren land to make mater worse the staff does not seem to aknowledge the decline and continues to behave with the hauntiness and arrogance of the glory days so expect: long wait, unhelpfull staff games spread are 2-4 EUR and higher still some good high stakes action

as of april 2013, the membership fee is 150 euro just to step inside. before joining, the staff is really nice to you. after joining, terrible service. maybe its cause im canadian and sound like an american. but that should not matter. try cashing in 3600 in chips and politely asking for 100 euro bills. strict NO. ended up giving me all 20s. this happened on all occasions. EVEN when I bought in with 100 euro bills. what kind of prestigious club of france dont carry enough bills? I joined the club to play poker. 1. the dealers are terrible. making mistake after mistake. on one occasion, when I called a hand, and I was beat, I simply mucked my cards. but the dealer purposefully opens up my hand for no reason. overall, terrible experience. well I did take the regulars and they now recognize that they are not great players. they can talk all they want. in the end, I walked out on top. gg

The ACF was a nice break from some of the other over loud, over bright, underwhelming casinos I have visited in Europe. Upscale but comfortable, with a relaxed dress code (no sneakers or t-shirts) the ACF offers patrons a very pleasant gambling environment. The staff was friendly, to a point but very professional and most of them do speak English. To play at the ACF you will need to become a member. The cost to join as of April 2012 was 150E.

Went to the Aviation Club to play in the daily 50 Euro tournament and had a great time. I don't speak much French....OK, I speak almost no French.....but the dealers and cashiers speak English so I was able to make my way around. No free drinks offered while I was playing but I wasn't there for drinks. I ended up winning 600 Euros in the tournament -- not bad for not knowing the language. The club's ambiance is also nice and there is a restaurant and bar inside. I hear the food is very good but I did not partake on the trip. If I go back to Paris again, I will be stopping in again to play a little Texas Hold Em!
