Made a reservation online - never heard from them again!
Jan 2020 • Family
Made a reservation through their family booking quick link and never heard from them again. Emailed three times and never got a response. Very confused - is this organization still open for business? Very disappointing. Unreliable would take my business elsewhere.

A Great Way to Introduce my 12-year-old Daughter to the Louvre!
Jun 2019
This may have been my daughter's FAVORITE EXPERIENCE in Paris! The THATLou group not only arranged the treasure hunt for us almost last-minute, but they were also able to match us up against another family for competition. My daughter enjoyed the hunt and the rivalry (even though we lost to a family with kids half her age!), and I got a scenic three-hour workout hiking up & down stairwells all throughout the museum. Hunting for and taking selfies with various treasures is a brilliant idea! Our guide was also very pleasant, and helped getting us into the museum quickly. The materials they provided - the guidebooks - were professional and made great souvenirs. This activity was definitely worth the time and the money, and I'd love to take my younger kids on THATLou's Treasure Hunt if I ever return to Paris.

HELLO HELLO! You can’t know how happy happy happy you make me! That we could make the Louvre your daughter’s FAVORITE PARIS EXPERIENCE tickles me pink. It’s a GREAT place (my fave in the world), so that people get overwhelmed by it makes me sad. And that you wanted to keep our treasure hunt after leaving (& hopefully planted a seed for your daughter to want to make connections to other museums in other cities) also pleases me no end. Next time you’re in London or Paris (or down the line in Italy or NY), pls look us up! Kind regards, Daisy

Fabulous
Oct 2019 • Family
We visited the Louvre on our last day in Paris. It also was our son’s 10th birthday and so to make it more fun we decided on the THATLou treasure hunt. We were met outside by Arina at the agreed time and location- she was very helpful and gave us information about the Louvre in a way that kept the interest of all members of the family. Once inside she explained how the treasure hunt works and gave us all the information we needed. We spent the two hours allotted to completing the hunt and managed to see 25 out of 30 exhibits. We started off by spending extra time completing the extra tasks for additional points but as it became obvious that we were running out of time we just went to see the exhibits rather than try to get extra points. At the end of the 2 hours we added up our points - we were happy with the 1000 we had collected- in fact we had so much fun that we stayed for another 2 hours to see some of the things we had missed. We are so pleased that we came upon this idea as it was a really fun way for everyone in the family to enjoy the Louvre and learn at the same time.

We had an awesome time!
Aug 2019 • Family
A great way to keep young kids (8 and 10) entertained! We found ourselves running around like school kids trying to find the clues and bring the art to life. After reviewing our photos we realised we had seen all of the major bits of art in 2 hours ( and had great family fun time!) Not for the purest to be honest as you really need a minimum of 3 days to see the Louvre but great for the family.

THATMuse Louvre & d'Orsay FUN
Mar 2019 • Family
on our spring break trip to Paris , our first time in the city of light , we decided to take part in a Top Secret mission with THATMuse and had a blast. We did both the Louvre and the d'Osday. Our "score" was not that great against the clock but we took our time and got to visit all of the great stuff on the "hunt". At the Louvre we did the "Beauty & The Bestiary" schedule. Our 6 year old daughter loved the "game" and it kept her engaged the entire time. Big thank you to Julie Jolicoeur from THATmuse who was our "guide".

Awesome THATMuse Treasure Hunt - the Louvre
May 2019 • Family
Daisy and Masha were a great help from THATMuse. They were patient and informative. We had a great time, starting with a history lesson from Daisy before we started. Our family split into 2 teams and my youngest daughter and I decided to exhaust each bonus point per question (scoring 950) whilst my husband and eldest daughter found more treasures but got less bonus points (scoring 880).

These treasure hunts mean you need good team work, and strategy including big picture vision and an eye for detail eg making the most of all the bonus points at each location.

Thanks again Daisy and Masha for making the Louvre accessible, fun and educational all at once. The girls didn’t want to leave but the smell of defeat must have been too strong for some...

Be sure to buy your adult entry tickets online noting the Louvre website can often be problematic. We luckily missed the strike (Louvre workers went on strike) but Masha and Daisy make a real effort to alert you once they know. So starting at 12 noon was perfect (albeit unplanned as tickets for the earlier session sold fast).

Wonderful experience
Apr 2019 • Family
This experience kept our children (8 and 9) engaged in the artwork and helped them to notice a lot of detail they would not otherwise have noticed. It is a well organized packet with a set of rules that can be easily adjusted to fit the needs of the individual scavenger hunters. Loved every second.

The BEST way to experience the Louvre!
Apr 2019 • Family
We had a BLAST with this Treasure Hunt at the Louvre. At our host's suggestion, we divided our family of 8 into two groups, making my two kids the "team captain". We had such a wonderful time and it was really a fun way to experience all the art in the museum. I went into sections that I probably would not have had thought to go and really saw the artifacts from a different perspective. The way the hunt is set up is so innovative and fun - taking pictures, looking for different aspects in the artwork, re-enacting scenes. It's also made very clear that you cannot get to everything in the 2-hour time "allotted" for the hunt, and it's no joke! It went by so fast, and we wanted to keep going for a bit longer because the family was having such a good time. From my 74-year old dad to my 7-year old son, it was really a memorable experience for us all. It's a great way for even those who are reluctant to enter a museum to have a fun-filled afternoon. I plan on doing this again the next time I visit at the D'Orsay and go to London again. Memories were made that will last us a lifetime!

You make us too too happy! That we made your Louvre visit fun and interactive for such an age range from your 74-year old father to your 7 year old son makes our day! We look forward to seeing you again at the Musee d'Orsay for its impressionist collection or at any one of our London Museums! Thank you for taking the time to leave a review! Daisy

Don’t waste your money
Apr 2019 • Family
We had a very sweet, very kind tour guide meet us outside the museum in order to wait in line with us, hand us the papers once inside, tell us the rules printed on the paper and ... that was it. You, of course, have to pre-arrange to purchase museum tickets on your own. And I felt we spent too much time looking down at the papers, we weren’t looking up and enjoying the artwork. In fact my youngest two children, rather quickly abandoned it and instead hunted for all the artwork displayed in the free museum map. It’s a cute idea, the pamphlet is well thought out and put together but it is simply not worth the cost. I would recommend looking for something similar from the museum itself or downloading something from the Internet.

Hello, I'm glad you think our treasure hunts are well thought out and put together well. We've put a lot of thought into it and enjoyed doing every minute of it. But what a pity you didn't think the hunt wasn't worth the money. For a classic hunt, which if you are a family of four, isn't terribly profitable for us, as there are a lot of hidden costs that people who don't live in France wouldn't realise (only French tax payers would be aware of this). From all of the emailing that we do for each booking, in terms of guiding you on how to book your Louvre entry tickets (the museum's great for its collection, but its ticketing and line system is unreasonably complicated and changes all the time) to you being met and provided with a history of the evolution of the three wings. The history of the museum from Philippe Auguste in 1190, up till Louis XIV and then jumping forward to Napoleon's Egyptian Campaign, when the first director of the museum, Denon, basically created Egyptology, etc. All of this background (logistics and history), before your actual hunt, is where your money is going, but there's no reason you'd know this. As for the actual hunt, however, I'm so disappointed to hear that your children didn't enjoy the Louvre and didn't surreptitiously learn about the pieces through the interaction and challenges requesting further scrutiny of the paintings and sculptures, etc. Our point is for families to learn about art history and the Louvre in a fun and interactive way, I'm sorry we didn't reach your family. Hope the rest of your trip to Paris was good. Kind regards, Daisy
