Address
Neighborhood: Opéra / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.

- Poppy F4 contributionsCan’t complainWe decided to go to Rex after seeing it being honoured as the best club in Paris after a quick google search. Entry was cheap, the venue was quite basic (little lighting and overall set up by the decks), I thought the techno was okay but quite basic (this probably varies by night), drinks weren’t quite as much as in some of the other clubs we went to in Paris. Overall we had a good time and you can’t complain when paying €8, however definitely not ‘the best club in Paris’. Although it was a thursday so it probably wasn’t as busy as it could of been.Visited July 2018Traveled with friendsWritten July 23, 2018
- Sarah DSan Francisco, California24 contributionsClassic venue, great sound - crowd v young and obnoxious, unpleasant vibe.Glad I went to the Rex for Derrick May but the crowd was awful. I'd read that on RA before going and was confirmedVisited December 2017Written October 6, 2018
- MjuodisLondon, United Kingdom24 contributionsQuite poor for the best Paris club (or at least that's what they say)Not even sure where to start. I had quite high hopes for this establishment however it's not really great. Or at least the night we were there wasn't great. Crowd - mainly teenagers, Music - weird mix house to rnd to dub step to house again. It's also quite expensive 15EUR to get in, 8 EUR for a small bottle of beer. Not really sure, felt quite hectic wouldn't recommend going there if to be honest. There are some better clubs out there, trust me, just keep walking the riverside... !Visited May 2015Traveled with friendsWritten May 26, 2015

Run away! Cannot stress this enough! This club has rude staff and rude bouncers. Literally pretended not to know English when we had questions. They are not tourist friendly and it’ll be a waste of your time and money!

If you like clubs for its good electronic music, Rex is one (if not the best) of the best club in Paris.
I'm parisian, i love electronic music, so believe me.
Of course, like every clubs, it has its good nights and its bad. But even on the bad ones, its still pretty nice. People are nice, and there to have fun and listen to music. Maybe slighttly drugged or drunk, but still, not here to show their last dress or to get a girl.
to conclude, if you didnt plan anything and you're searching for a good club in paris, go to the Rex. and to add to its qualities, anyone can get inside if not to drunk, or too many.
Witch is not the case with pretty much all the nightclubs in Paris.
There is 2 others good clubs, Social cub and Batofar, but be sure to choose your night.
Social is good, but the people are young (18-22), Batofar can be really good if you're on a good line-up, but its far from the center...
Choose the Rex, it will not deceive you
(and F*** you to people who didnt like it)

Le Rex Club is a real club for people that like Techno and/or Drum 'n Bass. Every Friday night is house night with a DJ Performing in front of the audience on a stage. Great Atmosphere, nice public as well. Door Policy is good & simple, unlike other Paris nightclubs. Easy to get in if you're not with too many people, so big groups have tot separate!!This is one of the top techno Clubs in Paris!!

What a terrible experience! I'd like to warn everyone about this before they spend their time and money coming to this establishment.
We stood outisde in a 30 minute line (it was freezing outside) and once we got to the front of the line, we couldn't believe our eyes. The guy standing in front of us with two ladies was denied entry into the club. He was dressed approppriately and wasn't drunk. He was calmly talking with the bouncer without any sort of raised voice and then the bouncer just punched him in the face for no apparent reason. We had to dodge out of the way to not get caught in the crossfire.
After that settled down, 4 people in front of us were let in and we were taken aside and were told by one of the rude bouncers to leave. We were so confused as to why and what was happening, bouncer put his hand on my boyfriend's shoulder and said "sorry, please leave". I couldn't believe the unpleasant staff at the door. I was extremely disappointed as this was our last night in Paris and all we wanted to do is go dancing and spend money on drinks.

I love the Rex Club! I definitely think it is the best club in Paris. I a real fan of techno, minimal and drum’n base and I think the rex Club has the best programming in Paris. Great DJ’s as Laurent Garnier for exemple frequently come to drive the public crazy! Everyone is very cool and beyond fashion there, and it is very easy to meet people. When you are in the club, you can feel you are like part of a community… I really enjoyed that place! I have been dancing all night long as if I was on drugs, simply because the music is out of world!

Took my girl friend to see Laurent Garnier on a sunday night. His DJ set was absolutely first class, people in the club where really friendly and bar staff where efficient and helpful. Drinks weren't cheap but it is paris! If you like electronic music and want to dance with a unpretentious crowd, make this your first call! €20 entrance fee. Not sure but i think Vodka redbull €12/ bottled beer €8 ?

This club was terrible. I heard it was the best techno club in Paris - someone was lying. I went on a Saturday night, and it was truly garbage. The blend of music was terrible, and the crowd was even worse. It was a sausage fest. They seem to let any guy in off of the street. Save your money and go to a better place, anywhere other than Rex Club.

they kicked out my girlfriend, just because she was tired and closed her eyes. She had done nothing wrong, just minding her own business. And they mocked us because we don't speak french?!! I guess the bodyguards only have power on young girls who weigh last than 100 lbs... I will never go again to this club. Save your 15 euros and go another club where they respect the customers...

The manager would not let me and my friend in because "we didn't have a girl". Mind you we were in blazers and were not to dunk. We looked ten times better than he did. I work at a club in New York and we do not treat people like that.

We came to listen and enjoy techno-music and partying in here. I couldnt ever imagine that we could find this horrible place in Paris. Definitively not in the top 500 club in paris. Absolutely horrible place in every way you could imagine. Very rude staff, especially the doormens.
