Get there on time!!
My first memories of Lavinia is that it is very well laid out and very informative.......however if the wine bar is your place of interest then don't expect miracles.......;it's a nice space with great wines by the glass, but the service is just adequate, the welcome is average and it's a little impersonal.

Go, choose your wine and eat.........don't get there too late cause they don't want to serve you in the half hour before closing at 20.00

Great selection to buy and try as well through numerous by the glass offers. The restaurant upstairs offers a nice setting for a quiet evening.

It is surprisingly hard to find a wine shop in Paris is well stocked with a great selection of wines from around the world and with a wide price range. My favorite wine store in Paris is Le Derniere Goutte, but if you want to find what you are looking for (and what you never thought you wanted) then Lavinia is your Holy Grail. The restaurant upstairs has superb selection of Armagnacs on display.The basement is a playground for wine lovers, particularly the cellar. I hyperventilated by being surrounded by so many fine wines.

I bought an expensive bottle in the store, there should have been a box in the set, but they did not find it.
Asked to come back later. When I arrived in 2 days, they did not find the box, but they promised either to find the box or to return part of the money.
Well, I went home to another country, a month passed, no one contacted me, wrote a letter, they promised to pass my problem to cavist, he should an answer me. Did not answer.
I wrote 2 more letters, without an answer.

I’ll try to contact the store again and then I will write another review.

Very Disappointing

We had a relatively good experience last time at this restaurant. Went back again and were disappointed in both food and service.
Food was bland this time and service was rushed. The waiter was impatient & rude - rushing us to order quickly and grab our menu away. The restaurant was not busy at the time. Did not feel the lunch for 3 of us worth 200 euros with this kind of food and service. Will not return!

Brilliant place
This place is so amazing, I saw wines I've only read about and that you can't even get in my favourite London shop, Berry Bros & Rudd, which is btw excellent.

Didn't try the wine tasting place or the lunch restaurant, this review is only for the shop, our experience there was very good, got helpful and knowledgeable service, but not pushy.

Looking forward to visiting there again, in my trip to Paris, this spring.

Expensive, but good quality

One of the better options on this street. Expensive, like the others, but good quality. I've had business lunches here, but have sometimes struggled with the noise levels.

A terrific wine shop

Spent two hours here selecting wines to bring home and lingering over tastings from the automated wine dispensers (purchase a prepaid card, insert for each tasting, and the machine deducts the cost of the wine sample). This was a perfect way to spend part of a rainy day in Paris. The selection of French wines is vast and the multi-level store is modern and well organized. Note: We did not eat here, so this review doesn't reflect the restaurant.

Maybe my expectations for this establishment was to high... but the restaurant didn't deliver... or mqybe we just choose the wrong dish....
Staff friendly and efficient. Wine selection good...but hey this is all about wine eh...?
Next time I'll skip the food a go for just a glass of wine!
Small portions... and me and my friend are not big eaters...

poor service - will not visit again

We purchased a few wine glasses and some accessories in this shop Before making payment, we requested for checking all the wine glasses. In the first beginning, the sales manager, called Victor Bistin allowed us to do the checking and helped us open the boxes. After opening the first box, he discovered that the leg of that wine glass was broken. Then he refused to allow us to check other wine glasses. Even we requested for the checking again as we were not sure whether the remaining were in good condition, he totally ignored our request with very bad attitude! We highly disappointed with his service! We will not visit this shop again.
