This is our local: we hop on a bus with our shopping trolley and fill it with wonderful vegetables and fruit, bread and cheeses, and on the top go our flowers. We've also bought Limoges china there, kitchenware and occasionally underwear. Open on Thursdays and...More

We have visited this market before, but best not to visit in August as all the vendors are also on leave. Unfortunately very few stalls open in August. Still nice views onto the Eiffel tower.

This has to be my favorite market in Paris. Nothing beats shopping in the shadow of the Eiffel tower. The produce is the real star of the show -top quality fruits and vegetables, fish, meats, bread, cheeses. Be sure to buy some and then head...More

Wonderful twice weekly market, overwhelmingly fresh and prepared foods, great for weekly shopping. Not a farmer's market but some stalls specialize in things like only potatoes, or tomatoes, or apples/pears. All the traditional supply chains represented too: fish/seafood, cheese, wine, meats

I guess my mistake was to visit the first Thursday in August. There were maybe 10 vendors in the entire market. I'm not exaggerating. I was very disappointed. I didn't realize that markets shut down in August or virtually do. At least this one did....More

This market was a block away from our hotel and we loved it! There is a HUGE variety of things to buy here. From from fish, to amazing cheeses, pastries and tons of fruits and vegetables! There were even a few vendors that sold blankets,...More

You can find just about everything here from undies to umbrellas. Everything is beautifully presented, always seasonal and the prices are good. It doesn't hurt to have a view of the Eiffel either. I speak very little French but "Bon Jour" with my NY accent...More

I love this street market but it is very much quieter in August than it is during the winter months when I previously visited. However at any time a market with a view of the Eiffel Tower can't be bad.
