Partly underground, old and somewhat dingy mall. Many shoppes, eateries and bar dot this 1970s era facility. Public toilets are pay and dirty. Better to go to larger department stores à la Samantaire.

It's the greatest mall we ever saw. Hundreds of shops (the usual ones), cinemas, theatre, sports facilities on many floors, most of it underground. We didn't feel very well: like prisoners rounded by steel and glass. The big roof above the main entrance was like a heavy weight over us. No day light. Technically very impressive with all the railway... More

Hello, Thank you for your comment! I hope you will be able to check our latest stores at the Canopy level (level 0) since we have exclusive stores: L'Exception, New Balance flagship, Le Petit Duc, Causses, LEGO flagship, Champeaux restaurant, Sept Cinq... The Canopy is transparent and let the sun come through - especially when the weather is good (which... More

It is located in Les Halles. If you visit by Metro stop at Les Halles or Chatelet station. This an underground mall. The roof of building was vey artistic. There a lot of shops, cafes and theatre and the Free Wifi.

Nothing here but a bunch of chain stores, quickie food, 2 mcdonalds, movie theater is huge. I was always told if you pay for a toilette in France it guarantees a clean room....nope, absolutely filthy and reaking of urine. Don't waste time here unless you need walking shoes from footlocker. Do step outside and check out the beautiful cathedral next... More

Very large underground mall with a movie theater with over 30 screens on the bottom floor. Many shops to chose from.

We were meeting my brother for brunch in the area. It's a nice open space with some shopping and restaurants very close by. I believe Metro access is available as well. It's a good place to catch your breath while shopping.

If you're tired at looking at attractions and want to make some bargains you can have a go at Forum des Halles. By Metro stop at Les Halles station. It's very near to the Louvre Museum and behind Rue de Rivoli (another shopping area). In this very large shopping centre you can find whatever you imagine with many different brands.... More

Close to the Pompidou Centre. Shops, food and toilets. The venue is a real beauty with its sweeping roof. Lots of escalators take you to its lower shopping levels. There was lots of construction going on next to it when we were there but it indicated that there were plans to create a green park with lots of seating areas.

In the 1970s, this underground shopping center, which is fairly close to Centre Pompidou, replaced the famous Paris Central Market that operated here for centuries. Forum des Halles features myriad stores that can often be found worldwide. Thus, for those wanting a special shopping experience, I suggest seeking out some of the wonderful boutiques that Paris is noted for, on... More

Staying in Les Halles

Neighborhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
