Wonderful and informative

The film was fascinating and good value for money. Sadly because of the terrorist attacks there were only 4 of us in the auditorium. The headphones were only 1 euro and I would... read more

There is a Science museum here, didn't go inside but used the dome for a photoshoot! You don't see these chrome domes everywhere!

Beautiful on the outside, amazing on the inside! Me and my friend watched a documentary about whales on the 180 degree screen. There is also an option to watch a 3D movie. On the website there is a program where you can search what movie you prefer to see but honestly I would like to watch anything they offer. The... More

This was a worthwhile experience. The 3D film was excellent, and for a euro each, we hired headphones with an English translation. The staff were very helpful. It was nice to sit down for an hour!

La Geode is next to the science museum in Parc de la Villette. The building is fantastic to see. I saw an under the sea IMAX film. Very comfortable seating. There is a cafe that has nice well priced food too.

A huge filmscreen drags you in to the film and you "are there" in ways that are fascinating. The 50 min film, Hidden Universe, was a bit disappointing as it was a lot about a pianst who became engaged in his interest in the universe and there was, in my opinion, too much focus on this pianist's exploring the universe,... Although the films last only about 40 min I think it is worth the price to watch a movie in "la Géode". I bought a combi ticket at the science museum nearby. It costs 15? for students which I think is quiet ok. The screen of the cinema is really big. I watched the film "Under the see" which is... More

It was my third visit of the Geode and that time I saw the movie Jerusalem... for people who are interested about it or know the place, it is really great experience. The sound, quality of the movie..all great. Very few people inside, so I recommend to visit during the week

The dome-shaped cinema was amazing, the hour-long movie well worth the entrance price, I have never seen a 180 degree picture before and look forward to my next opportunity.

Staying in La Villette

Neighborhood Profile
La Villette
This futuristic landscape has come to define the northeast of Paris. The Saint-Denis canal is framed with luscious lawns and metallic buildings over a wide-open space. Home to Europe's largest science museum, this area rewards daytime and nighttime explorations; there are three concert spaces, plus cinemas and bars, and even open-air cinema in the summer. The surrounding homes are a sharp contrast to the futuristic space. Though on the outskirts of Paris, La Villette is worth the short Metro ride from the center.
