We went to this museum because others were closed or too rammed, such a nice find. Opposite the grand palais, this 'petit' palais is actually quite a large, beautiful building with lovely art on the ceiling and stunning architecture, which can be seen outside the...More

Along with the Grand Palais across the street and the D'orsay, the Petit Palais was a magnificent structure erected for the 1900 Paris World Fair. The Petit Palais is recently restored and the building alone deserves a visit. It also houses a major collection of...More

The Petit Palais has a beautiful façade which is very pleasing to see, as my friend described it "the doors to heaven" literally the detailing, the colours! Absolutely beautiful and elegant. The Palais this time around had my artist of interest displayed in it which...More

First of all it is free. Second you have a majestic building inside and out to observe and then third, you have an unbelievable amount of quality displays to view. I would say this is a must stop. I can only imagine having lunch/drinks outside...More

I come to this classic museum on each trip to Paris. It's the city's museum and visits to the permanent collection are free; there is a charge for the special expos, which are often quite good. The architecture is magnificent and the cafe is delightful.

This is the best kept secret in Paris and it is free unless you are seeing the current exhibition. Take time to stroll the book store and the gardens and garden cafe .... a delightful afternoon in Paris

Strongly disrecommend even trying to enter this place. As soon as you approach it with a bag, you are faced with very rude and unhelpful guards. To avoid at all costs if you are anyone carrying a bag (basically, women, families, business people etc. )

The cafe was self-service when I was there and the line was long and slow even for a beverage so I did not eat there. The outdoor part was not set up for outdoor seating in winter. I would think it would be more enjoyable to... More
