I visit because a loved one is there. She has a good view of the Tour Eiffel. Famous composers, Faure and Debussy, perfumer magnate, Jean Patou, and many well-known French share her space.

I though that this was the one with Jim Morrison of The Doors but it wasn't. Still worth a visit though. There laminated maps by the office next to the entrance - take one, it will save you aimlessly wandering about the place. This cemetery...More

I visited this cemetery to see the gravesites of Claude Debussy, Eduard Manet, and my favorite composer, Gabriel Fauré. This is a solemn place in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower and not to be missed if you have an appreciation for these artists or...More

Passy, for close to 150 years, used to be a part of the town where the rich and the privileged lived, for the most part (and even more so today). At the end of the XIXth century, it was largely villas and cottages bucolic country,...More

My favorite feature is the statue of Benjamin Franklin who lived and loved nearby. This is a small cemetery in a very classy neighborhood near the Trocadero.

We stopped here briefly while exploring the view from the Trocadero. It’s definitely an interesting spot to explore briefly if you end up in this area. Resting spot for several famous people but I found the various mausoleums rather fascinating all crammed into a small...More

The entrance is literally across the street from the Benjamin Franklin statue and 2-3 minute walk from Musée de l'Homme at Trocadero. If you want to escape the crowds and visit a cemetery filled with famous French personalities - then spend an hour visiting this...More

We wandered through these grounds focusing particularly on musicians and composers, and found the wandering peaceful and emotional when we recognized a particular grave. Often a recording would come back to me with tremendous power. The grounds ae very beautiful.

Not one of Paris' major cemeteries, still some important dead people here. Beautiful residential neighborhood, close to Trocadero.

I know it can be odd to rate a cemetery, but if you are someone who appreciates history and architecture, this cemetery is an excellent choice for a visit. It's location makes it accessible when you are visiting Trocadero. The layout of the cemetery allows...More
