Georges Larnicol is one of the best choclatiers in France. He was recommended to us by a French chef and he was right! Definitely try the boules a jojo! They were delicious! There are several locations to choose from in Paris. This location was a 7 minute walk from our hotel.

We stopped in here for truffles and macarons. Both were fantastic. I wasn't sure what flavors the truffles were, so I grabbed 4 or 5 different things to try. It turns out they were all slightly different versions of the same flavor- chocolate hazelnut. I love chocolate hazelnut so that didn't bother me in the slightest, but something to be... More

Our guide brought us to her favorite chocolate shop and we loved it. Macaroons, dark chocolate and caramels were fantastic.

Amazing chocolates and interesting chocolate museum to peer through. Just stick with the chocolates there are better macaroons elsewhere.

We went back four days in a row for their caramel buerre salé pastries. One of the most understated shops as you can grab a bag and make your own pick n mix from three walls of chocolates. Worth it for the pastries alone but the chocolates (particularly caramel Eggs) and atmosphere make it unmissable.

This store lured me in by the pastries. They looked so good. I got a bagful of the different varieties of the kouignettes and also some chocolates. The chocolates were delicious but the kouignettes were just mediocre. They were very pretty but just lacked the flavor I expected.

The macaroons and chocolate is good, but the wait staff are terrible. We wanted our own assortment of macaroons and it says to ask the staff. When we did, the the lady stated they are closing in 5 min and she couldn't do it. At the time we were the only ones in the store outside of another couple that... More

My husband and I came here two nights in a row because their macaroons were so delicious. Try the coco! It's our favorite. The staff all seem to be polyglots and are charming and patient in every language! You can choose your assortment of macaroons and they might even give you one or two to sample. The chocolates and merengue... More

For the best salted caramels in France, this is the place to go! Great chocolate shop in the centre of the Latin Quarter. Pricey but delicious! I visit twice a year whilst in Paris!

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
