Excellent cheese factory, which I found by chance on my way out of Saint Paul Parish. Wide variety of quality cheeses, including Grand Mature County and Old Gouda Nougat. Very nice seller and patiently helped me choose the cheeses I would like the most.

We were passing by this beautiful cheese store and decided to go in. It was one of the best decisions we made in Paris😁😍. The market was smelling very bad, which I think is the key to high quality cheese🤓. One of the shop assistants helped us to choose the cheese we might like by asking our preferences. And as a result we got very tasty cheese. 😻 I loved the service and the cheese so much. Definitely worth to visit and buy some cheese.

During our stay in Paris we came across this shop.
In addition to a vast choice of mainly French cheeses and some from other parts of Europe, we appreciated the possibility of tasting small pieces of product specially placed in small bowls. The staff is very attentive and helpful. We were advised to return before leaving to get a vacuum pack and so we did.

Located right off the Maubert-Mutualite Metro stop (which also has Paris' best bakeries (Eric Kayser, and Charcuteries) is one of Paris' best food temples. The establishment is small, clean, and very beautiful. The layout/merchandising is simply incredible...all the cheeses are presented geometrically on white platters. The staff helps each customer taste and choose the cheeses. Not to be missed.

We had never been to a cheese shop, so we didn't really know what to expect. All I know is that we love cheese, so were very excited about this concept. Upon walking in, we were greeted by a highly professional woman who claimed she spoke "a little" English. Her English was perfect, and she was able to steer us towards 5 amazing different cheeses.
A couple of hints:
1. Ask for their recommendations on different kinds of cheeses, from soft to hard, cows milk to goat. And then try a few different ones. We loved everything that she recommended to us.
2. They will ask how much of each cheese you want, and point to ask if you are happy with how much they are about to cut. You can ask them around what that size slice would cost.
3. I told her I was looking for about 20 Euro worth, and she got me to $18 with 5 different kinds.
I would recommend this place for your cheese, then go across the street to the bakery and get a loaf of warm sourdough, then to the Franprix for some tomatoes and wine, and have a great meal.

If you love cheese you will NOT want to miss Laurent Dubois when you’re in Paris. The atmosphere is amazing and it is the perfect place to pick up some authentic Parisian goods. Highly recommend!

Based on the TripAdvisor reviews and given that I'm living near the Saint Paul store in the Marais, I visited this store just yesterday afternoon. I have very limited French, but understand and practice the pleasantries when shopping in Paris. I explained to the male staff member that I was from Australia and was going to live in the area for the next 8 months. Also that I had an uneducated palate and would like for him to help me over the course of the next few months to understand and appreciate French cheeses. I mentioned Camembert as this is a French cheese that we regularly buy and eat in Sydney, but that I would like to try other types of cheese and each week, with his guidance to slowly gain an appreciation of the different types and styles of cheese. Without offering me a taste or smell of any cheese, he suggested one Camembert, wrapped it and took it to the cashier.
I was disappointed as from extensive reading, I understood that fromageries of this standard particularly were places to visit, to be guided in a French cheese experience.
Possibly my approach and my minimal French may have attributed to my experience in this store. I'm saddened if this is the case, as I do try in my interactions with Parisians.

This is a wonderful cheese shop with a brilliant selection of cheeses, including many 'created' on the premises - both aged in the cellars below and also created with various additives and techniques. We spent 2 weeks staying nearby and went there regularly. The downside is that whilst some of the staff are very good and friendly, the attitude of some of (the male) staff members is enough to make you swear off any further attempt to enter the store - reminiscent of a well-known Seinfeld episode (substitute the cheese for soup).

While we were on vacation in Paris, my sons’ friend lost his mom back in Long Island, New York. When he was asked on the phone what we can do to make him feel better-he told my boys to bring back some cheese for him .We got him some from a Laurent Dubois shop.My son’s friend and his sister were so happy for the gift of a selection of very good Laurent Dubois cheese and a bottle of Normandy Cider. We as a family are just happy that our thoughts eased their grief a little. We also bought cheese for ourselves-all vacuum packed for overseas travel. We are still enjoying our excellent fromage. Thank you .

Yes, I wanted to dive into it. It was heaven. I wanted to buy all of it. I went there for Bordier Butter (the BEST) but I also went there for a special request for the "stinkiest" cheese they make... somehow cheese lovers find each other in the world and where one person goes, the others profit from it! The staff was so friendly and wonderfully helpful. Alas, not just one but two options did the trick and I may have emptied the entire train car on the way home had they not sealed it in an airtight bag. My friends were thrilled. Of course for my troubles, so was I... we enjoyed the delicacies together with oysters and champagne, a selection of marmelades and friendship. The Epoisses was creamy and delicious, and no one fainted.

Hi, How much does it cost to buy some samples (few slices/chunk) of different types of the french cheese, I want to take it back home. Should I keep them in the fridge ? because I will be travelling for 4 days to Barcelona before heading back home.
Written April 22, 2018
Depending on the cheese, average price should be 10 to 15 euros for a decent chunk of cheese as displayed. Request for vacuum pack for travel . Definitely should be refrigerated whenever you can during your travels before getting home.

I've bought some cheeses from Laurent Dubois 2days back. They are vacuumed sealed. But I will be still traveling around in U.K. for another week 5-7days. Should I keep them refrigerated as soon as I reach the apartment? I have Gouda 24months, Comte 36months, and a Gouda nougat here. All vacuum sealed. But I'm seeing some liquid appearing around the cheeses in the vacuum pack. Is this normal? Should I take them out? What should I do? Please help.
Written November 20, 2017
For sure you should keep them as they are vacuumed,in the fridge.i also didn’t open them immediately when I returned,so they stayed at the fridge for a week.the liquids had appeared at mine also.
