I have known Virginia for 16 years now and met her on my first trip to Paris. Meeting her was one of the most fortunate days of my life. Her walking tours are, in my opinion, without equal. She brings every nuance of the city to life on her walks. Her ability to tell a story while also providing historical or factual information is what makes her walks so wonderful. I have taken 5 or 6 of her different walks at this point and would quickly take them again because there is always something different to learn or see that you may have missed the first time. A unique and rewarding experience for anyone who loves Paris or wants to learn more about her.

Thank you so much for this lovely review which brought to my memory the first private tour you took with Paris Insignt. The famous "Traversée de Paris" from Montmartre to Montparnasse with just a little lunch brake. Looking forward to sharing more and more.

Virginia has an engaging personality, she is passionate about Paris and has an encyclopedic knowledge of the city, its people and its history.
The walks I have taken with Virginia were not about the tourist destinations, but about hidden Paris, the beautiful small stuff, all through the city and seldom experienced by tourists.
As a result of my first walk with Virginia, 10 years ago, I developed a deep connection with Paris, so much so that I have returned every year since, taking many of her walks, as have many of my friends.
Now that I can no longer visit, there is great comfort in knowing "Paris is a moveable feast"
How true that is!

Thank you for this lovely , lovely, review. Sometimes we wonder which is our "mission" in the world. I do not think we only have one...Nevertheless reading your review I tell myself that what was/is so dear to my heart (revealing Paris) & as meaningful as a life mission has been accomplished. I lit your fire for Paris and friends. That fire keeps on feeding my energy to last.

Me and my friend found Virginia while looking for a midnight tour in Paris. To be more accurate, we had planned a 3 day train trip and Paris was a last minute addition. Our arrival was scheduled for 23:00 and departure on 07:00 on next morning. We found Virginia's page by luck and as soon as we sent her an email everything got arranged in a very short time! We explained what we wanted and Virginia was more than willing to find a plan that would work for us. She customized the route, offering a unique view of the city under night lights. Very kind and one of the sweetest persons I have met, she managed to make us feel famirial with city with the stories told...And well prepared too, she even had hot tea brought with her along with treats in order to offer at our brake. To conclude, two thing are for sure, 1) for the years to come, this tour will hold a special place in our trip highlights, 2) when we visit Paris again, we will choose Virginia for another tour.

Virginia gave us a wonderful tour of two incredible Paris markets. The Bastille market has rows and rows of fruits, vegetables, fish, meat, all kinds of cheeses, olives, nuts, flowers, clothing and even kitchenware. You can get cooked foods as well. After making some purchases, we went to the Aligre market which is open every day except Monday. In addition to a street of all kinds of produce, flowers and such there is also a kind of flea market in the square in the middle. Then there is a large indoor area with meats, sausages, cheeses and other fresh items. She also showed us a nearby patisserie that has wonderful fresh baked breads and pastries. We had to try the olive bread. Virginia was a delight and her knowledge of Paris is extensive. We hope to do another tour our next visit.

Virginia provided us with a lovely, 3 hour private walking tour of the Marais and the Latin Quarter. She was friendly and knowledgeable and provided lots of interesting, fun and historical facts along the way. We've been to Paris several times, but walking through this beautiful city with Virginia's Insight is an exceptional experience all it's own.

Virginia was and is amazing. If you are lucky enough to get her to do a tour with you...you will never forget it. She knows all the special little secrets that Paris has to offer that only a local would know and then some. She is polite, kind and a sheer delight. My friend Manda and I considered ourselves blessed to have met her and have her take us out a couple of days. I will book her the next time I am in Paris and encourage everyone planning to visit to spent a couple of days with her. Virginia is one of the best things in Paris!!! Miss her!!!

It has been 2 years now, that I first visited Paris with my significant other. Virginia was highly recommended by a close friend. It was our first trip to the" city of lights", so it was important to have the right guide. We were overwhelmed with her knowledge, and loved her sense of humor. So much so, that we took her to lunch to keep the conversation going. Please call her....you won't be sorry. P.S. Don't be surprised if she gives you some homework for your follow up tour.

I have traveled to Paris many times over the years for business and pleasure. I was fortunate to find early on in my time there Virginia Dae’s marvelous walking tours. Whether it was exploring the Pere Lachaise cemetery, wandering the lanes of Montmartre or walking where Hemingway walked Paris Insight gave me a new perspective and unique view of Paris that is not found as a tourist. When staying in Paris with family or friends I always make a point to share a tour with them. For those who enjoy learning about Paris you will get the knowledge of a true lover of all things Paris with Virginia and Paris Insight walking tours. I look forward to my next Paris adventure.

Thank you for this great review. Having met you and having given the chance to walk the "soil" of Paris with you was real pleasure. When two lovers of Paris meet they become friends almost "instantly".
Looking forward to continue to share walks, adventures, stories and Angelina's hot chocolate.

Virginia’s Beginners walk of Paris tour is a definite must for 1st time visitors to the city!We arrived 2 weeks ago exhausted and very apprehensive. After a thorough explanation of how to navigate the city via foot, bus, and metro, she oriented us to Paris so we were then able to easily navigate the city on our own the remainder of our stay. Additionally, her tour of Pére Lachaise cemetery is not to be missed. Her knowledge, professionalism, and enthusiastic love for Paris are evident from the moment you meet her. I cannot say enough positive comments about Virginia, her teaching skills, and her tours.

I have had the great fortune to visit Père Lachaise in Virginia's company. You know you have a great guide when a cemetery comes to life! There are many beautiful things too see in this place but without someone to decrypt them, you only get mere scraps. From the Middle Ages to the 18th, 19th and 20th century, you learn about a host of characters, somme very famous, others less known, amazing stories and destinies, fascinating anecdotes. You get the feeling that Virginia has met these people and knows them intimately. It really is a way to get closer to Paris, understand it better (Virginia would make numerous references to other places in the city), and suggest others possible explorations.
I cannot wait for the next tour!
