You are expected to tip the guides at the end of the tour. The tour is well worth it. The guides were very friendly, helpful and spoke well. Provided good history of the area and suggestions on where to eat and what to try. The area has such a wonderful history and you get the true classic Parisian feel. Definitely worth taking. You will find yourself, after the tour, venturing off the streets and loving the beauty of this area.

As could be expected in Paris, we met our Guide on the median strip in front of the Moulin Rouge. While we waited for our guide we watched a local lady looking for customers. How French!! We met up with our guide who explained the history of the area and the Moulin Rouge. The walk took us through backstreets and to the local vineyard. past famous residences and more. We were shown twists on names, streets and slowly we walked up to Sacre-Coeur. It was amazing as we had walked around the area for a couple of days and missed so much and the Guides understanding and delivery in English was great. No question was to mundane or too much. The time just flew and before long ( over the best part of three hours ) the tour walk finished. We were then able to ramble back down past the shops and houses to our start point. The souvenir shop was next to the Moulin Rouge so bought a couple of memento's but the price was not a friend of my wallet. There are many places around where you can buy copies cheaply but the Moulin 's shop has original material just expensive. A great afternoon and way to experience the history and area as it is today. Highly recommended. as can stop and take what ever photos you like and not be hurried along.

Booked this tour with my friend and Michelle our tour guide was just lovely! She gave nice trivias about the town of Montmartre and was very patient with the group, allowing time for photo taking and would always wait for the group to catch up. She seems very knowledgeable about the place and has kept each stop interesting for us! Would definitely recommend this tour, as you will definitely learn a lot and definitely would be more interesting to know the rich history that comes with the place - and this you can only get from joining tours such as this! 👍👍👍

We really enjoyed our walk around Montmarte last month. Our guide was excellent and he was filled with all kinds of interesting tidbits about how Montmarte came to be. The next we are in Paris, we will be booking a hotel in Montmarte because this is where all the action is locate. We loved the selection of restaurants and little pubs all over the area. one could experience the world's cuisine simply going to Montmarte. Great base of operations for sure. Our guide was really good, but his name escapes me. He was from England and about 45 years old and he was great. Linda (his boss) should give him a raise.
