It was wonderful to discover a hidden gem like this on my trip to Paris. It was wonderful to go into a pub so far from home and feel so welcome and so at home. The prices were incredibly reasonable and the staff was superb and attentive.

Friendly sports bar in Paris - not far from Luxembourg Gardens. Caught the Packers-Bears game there on Thanksgiving. Bar stayed open past 5am showing the game.

We were staying just across the street at our hotel and only made one visit to the pub. But it was amazing, they don't serve food but you can bring it in. The bar tender was amazing, he was from New Zealand. We wish we would have visited it a few more times. It's also a Green Bay packers bar,... More

This is the only place where I could drink a beer in the latin quarter as it had decent prices. Guinnes pint was 5.5€ while around here any beer did not cost less than 8€ for a pint. The music is nice but it is small and tends to get crowded very early.

Who'd have thought there'd be a Packers-themed bar in Paris! Bartender spoke perfect English, lots of Packers paraphernalia and even an "autograph book" to say you were there!

This is a very friendly Irish Pub near the Luxembourg Gardens. We were surprised to see all of the Green Bay Packer swag behind the bar. Several of the staff have visited Green Bay Wisconsin and are now true die-hard Packer Backers. The mayor of Green Bay even sent them a hand written note expressing his support following the Charlie... More

We stumbled upon WOS bar while wondering around the little streets which surround it. The staff were great, very lively and keen to talk to everyone and make conversations. they were passionate about their cocktails. You can take food from outside into the bar and eat at the tables which is cool. There's a good international crowd and it's the... More

This is one of the places to discover, a bit apart from the usual touristy crowds passing through the Quartier Latin! Extremely nice staff! We enjoyed the live jazz piano music on a Thursday night, and had a great time following the owner's very competent advice on his amazing whiskey collection, while munching from a delicious plate with cold meat... Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
