I never get tired of visiting this covered passage. From the early 19th Century, one of the world's first attempts at an indoor mall, it has been lovingly restored and is now full of upscale shopping. I kind of liked it more years ago when it was funky, but I do adore the style and I love to stop and browse the post cards and books. A good wine store here as well.

This adorable covered shopping passage is a nice reprieve from the busy streets of Paris. It is a quiet area to walk through and look at all the unique one of a kind shops in a covered shopping area. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Lots of lights and festive garland. However, because we visited on December 24, not a lot of the shops were open. We were limited to window shopping. There were restaurants open in the area. It is definitely something to see while you are in Paris.

During our stay in Paris, we had the chance to seek out many covered passages, this one was quite ornate, with paintings and wall motifs. They especially went all out for with chrissie celebrations.

The most beautiful coverage passage in Paris since 1823. Visit the book shop Librairie Ancienne & Moderne for a travel in time.

Galerie Vivienne is one of the oldest in the town and deserves attention. Very nice bookstores and shops for painting. The shops though open quite late. There are also many restaurants.
