Pont d'Iena was built in 1808-1814 during the heyday of the Empire and named after Napoleon's victory over Prussia in the Battle of Jena. This, by the way, was the reason for Field Marshal Blucher's ardent desire to demolish it during the second occupation of Paris, and only the position of the Russian Emperor Alexander I prevented Prussian vandalism. It should be understood that at that time it was an ordinary bridge improving transport links between the left and right banks. And now it's unusual! Because now there is the Eiffel Tower. And no one is interested in either the bridge itself or the riders on the sides. Arabic, Gallic, Roman. Because there is ONE! The most popular attraction in the world! And now this is the place of parting with her when you ride the Trocadero metro. A place where tourists ignore the rules of the road and make "one more last photo" right from the traffic lane. And surprisingly, no one is being crushed....

A very pretty and practical bridge that connects two very prosperous sides of the river. It's easy to walk across, the views of the river are lovely.

This is a nice bridge over the River Seine, and also a great place to take photographs of the Eiffel Tower, well worth a visit.

Walked up close to this bridge on a very busy Saturday night. Lots of people, food carts and stalls, and generally a good atmosphere with lots of people passing over the bridge to get a better view of the Tower.

Trocadero is a good place to turn to get a full photo of the Eiffel Tower. Walking across this lovely bridge to get there was a treat. I simply kept turning around to the tower and marveling. Great view!

Lovely bridge across the Seine River, with a bit of history. It started operating in 1814 and was built to commemorate one of Napoleon's victories, after which it was named. It links the Eiffel Tower with the Trocadero Gardens on opposite sides of the river. It is also across from the military school, the Ecole Militaire. Worth a visit if you are in the area.

The Pont d’lena is a huge bridge across River Seine and connects the Eiffel Tower to Trocadero Gardens. Many souvenir paddlers display their gifts by bridge side. You can take nice photos of ferry boats cruising on the river.

This bridge is the closest one to Eiffel tower on its west end connecting it with Trocadero. Therefore it's occupied with tourists taking great pics and selfies from there.
Excellent close ups can be taken from here, as well the sunset pics you can see.

By connecting the Trocadero with the Eiffel tower, this rather nice bridge is in the spotlight for huge number of tourists.
