We had a FANTASTIC Champagne tour with Brice a few weeks ago (Sept. 2022). Brice is incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, and kind. Our group tour ended up being a private tour, as the other 4 people scheduled to go cancelled at the last minute. I think many tour companies would have cancelled instead of running a group tour for 2 people, but Brice did not, and we are so thankful that we had the tour.
In addition to visiting 3 beautiful Champagne houses (Mumm in Reims, Gobillard in Hautervilles, and Moet et Chandon in Epernay), Brice helped educate us on the deep culture of the Champagne region through a visit to the Reims cathedral (beautiful!), a stop to pick up local specialty rose biscuits, a delicious lunch at a bistro in Reims, and a somber visit to a WWI cemetery.
Brice went above and beyond what we could have hoped for, answering tons of questions, giving us lots of helpful recommendations, and generally being a very pleasant tour guide and friend.
I would strongly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Paris who wants to learn more about Champagne and the beautiful region where it is created. We hope to do another tour with Brice and Paris Wine Day Tours the next time we visit France!

My friends and I truly loved the Sancerre wine tour with Brice! This was an amazing tour and worth the money! You get out of Paris and see some beautiful bits of French countryside. And the wine is great, of course! It's an absolutely wonderful day! It was everything I hoped it would be and more.
The longer version if you want more details:
I had a little bit of trouble initially booking the tour just due to my credit card blocking the charge and then not correctly unblocking. I used the contact info on the tour website to get help and Brice responded very quickly and helped me get everything booked and straightened out. He also made sure I received some tour day info via email, which originally had been undeliverable. So I'd say the communication and responsiveness was really great even before the tour itself.
The tour is a long day - but worth it! Definitely follow the recommendations to dress in layers. Depending on the time of year (we went mid-October) it will be dark when you leave and dark when you get back to Paris. Recommend bringing whatever you need to be comfortable being gone all day (e.g., earbuds or book for some of the driving time, water, power brick to charge your phone, etc.).
The tour guide, Brice, does everything. He's your tour guide, driver, and translator (when needed) and he is perfection! He clearly loves what he's doing and is knowledgeable about the area and the wines. It is obvious he's put a good bit of work into finding just the right places to include in the tour. There were a couple of great photo stops. The goat cheese farm was really interesting and there were baby goats to pet (who doesn’t love baby goats?!). Lunch was delicious! There is some free time to wander through a wine museum and then back through the cute little town itself. Both of the family wineries were excellent choices because they highlighted different types of operations. I learned a lot and really, really enjoyed meeting the winemakers and drinking their delicious wine!

We did a private 'Wine Enthusiast Tour.'
Our group of 5 friends were well taken of by Brice and his friend. Brice told us he normally does the tour himself but he recently broke his ankle and was getting around in crutches. He didn’t miss a beat though (and thank you Brice for not having to cancel on us because of your ankle - it was a highlight of our trip to Paris!).
His good friend (my apologies but I don’t remember his name!) did the driving and they were both wonderful hosts to a fantastic day. Our tour took us to the Sancerre and Pouilly-Fume regions of the Loire Valley. Although our group varied in the knowledge of wine making and wine tasting, Brice did a great job in introducing and teaching us to the art of wine in these regions and in France. We each ended the day with such an appreciation for the history and craftsmanship of producing wine in this country. The cheese tasting was delicious and so informative as to the process of making goat cheese. It was wonderful meeting the farmers and producers of the goat farm and the two vineyards we visited.
Brice’s depth of knowledge, his enthusiasm, and true love for French wine was very much appreciated. He took great care of us throughout the day and was the perfect host. If you are even thinking about doing any of the tours that Paris Wine Day tours offers, just book it. You will not be disappointed in the least. It will end up being one of the highlights of your trip!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our Champagne and history tour of the the Champagne and Reims areas outside of Paris. Brice was a fantastic guide and he curated an awesome day of Champagne tastings, history tour of the City of Reims, a great lunch and several other historical stops along the way. He was extremely knowledgeable, gracious, considerate and thoughtful in all of his actions and interactions with all 8 of his guests.
We highly recommend this tour!
Merci!

I went on the Champage day tour with my best friend. And it was by far the best day of my week in Paris.
We started with a very casual outdoor (delicious) pastry and coffee, before visiting the Reims Cathedral. Incredibly powerful experience. Throughout the day, our guide, Brice, took care to provide a history of the area and showed us much more than just champagne.
The two bigger champagne house tours were pretty similar, but informative nonetheless.
The champagne was best at the smaller, family vineyard, but I felt our host there was a bit impatient and just wanted to make sales. I still bought 5 bottles, because- amazing! But she wasn’t my favourite.
Brice also stopped at some vineyard where they had just completed the harvest, and so we were able to walk in it and take pictures. Beautiful.
End to end, I’d say a perfect day. If you can imagine yourself in the rolling hills of France, drinking champagne, in Champagne, book this tour.

My wife and I booked with Bryce for a day out of the city during our week in Paris. We started early right in front of a cafe and prepared to hop on the van for the trip out East.
We made our way out to the Loire Valley for a full day of learning, tasting, and taking in the views of the rolling hills.
It was my first wine tasting/tour, and I came back with knowledge that I didn’t have before. Types of grapes, soil, how they’re pressed and how the wines are made, and what makes them unique.
We started at a small goat farm in the same region that the wines are made and got to taste the cheeses made right there on-site. It was a little out of my typical comfort zone, but trust me; it was worth the experiment. The cheese (at all ages we tried) was great, especially when paired with the wines.
Lunch was great, with a ton of local options to try.
Overall, great experience getting to meet the winemakers and getting out of the city to experience a side of France that you don’t get in Paris.
10/10 and Bryce is a fantastic guy!

Such a fun experience! We saw beautiful things, met beautiful people, and tasted some beautiful wines and cheeses. It was so nice to meet the people who tend the vines and make the wines. And it was fun to meet the goats that made the cheese possibles. We now have a face and a personality attached to each of the wines and the cheese we brought home with us. Thank you, Brice, for a wonderful, personal, and very French experience!

Brice was an informed and well connected tour guide! We loved the goat cheese farm, lunch at the hilltop restaurant in Sancerre, and the private tours of the Pabiot and Dezat family wineries. It was harvest season so seeing the owners working was incredible. Ooooh, the wine tasting!!! Thank you Bruce was the most memorable experience.

I see on the site FAQ, there is a restroom break every 1-2 hours. Will the tour accommodate more frequent breaks?

We would be pleased to share a day with you in the french vineyards.
We give an opppotunity to go the restrooms almost every hour. But for a huge part of the day, during the visits, you will have the possibility to go everytime you need it.
During the transportation we are stoping almost at midway, it means after 45 to 50 mn. But no worries if you need additional stops we can do it easely.

I hope I will have the pleasure to spend this day with you.

How many champagnes do we get to taste during the Champagne Enthusiast Tour? Under the websites frequently asked questions it mentions that people will taste about 5 wines at each vineyard, but there is no mention of the Champagne tour.Is it about the same?

Dear Katherine,
Thanks a lot for your interest in Paris Wine Day Tours. I would be pleased to share a day in the Champagne region with you.
I don't want to appear rude or unpolite but the number of wine tastings is maybe not the most important question when you are doing a wine tour in Champagne:)
Which is unique it's not the wines in therself but all the heritages you will find in the Champagne region. The underground cellars, the technics to do the wines, the history of the houses, the other food and cultural heritages of that region and the piece of histories who take place in Champagne.
My goal is more than let you taste hundred of Champagne, to let you discover that incredible heritage. Honestly you can taste far more and at a cheaper prices Champagne wines everywhere in the world but not discovering that heritage...
To at least answer to your question :) we are usually tasting 5 to 6 different Champagne and 2 still wines.
You can discover all the details of this tour on our website wine day tours.
Best regards,
JB

Good Morning, I was wondering, if we buy wine on the tour what is the best way of getting it back to the states?

I believe you can have the winery ship it back to the states. Otherwise I believe you are allowed 2 bottles apiece to bring back with you.

Lixandra:
I went to their website and I didn’t see any availability in August. I know August is a month that many French take for vacation because I did see some openings in July and September. You might also try O’ Château. We did a wine tasting in Paris with them and thoroughly enjoyed it and I believe they also offer tours to wine areas. Hope this helps.

Yes the website is wine-day-tours..... they won’t let me put a link in here but search for Paris wine tour and you should find it.
JB is the guide and owner and all the info is there. I was on the Sancerre tour and I believe there are 2 others that are more champagne tours. Not sure how long they go but I believe there is a schedule on the site.
