The setting is quite unique (old, stone cellar) and the show is great. Food/drinks are ok (given on paper it is nightclub), the real issue is the poor service (even by French, or better, Paris standards) and the fact that the owner propagates (and encourages) a climate of sexual harassment. Several of the ladies in our party were touched inappropriately... More

My sister had the coated veal cutlet and I had the Normany-style veal cutlet: both were delicious! There was live entertainment in the form of a pianist and singer.

We'd walked by this place a number of times during our stay in an apartment nearby. On our last night in Paris, we decided to give this local gem a try. We grabbed a sidewalk table early in the evening; as luck would have it, a pianist and an opera singer were just getting started. In addition to the enjoyable... More

While looking for dinner and then a Jazz club we stumbled upon this place. The food was delicious and the decor was exactly what we were looking for. During dinner there was a live singer, violinist and pianist. Very classy. At 11pm we went downstairs to their basement whispch was probably 800 years old. The band played for hours...a mixture... We've done most of the touristy stuff in Paris before and were looking for place a bit off the beaten path to meet up with some friends that live in the area. Aux Trois Mailletz did not disappoint! We showed up early and the downstairs didn't open until after 11:00 PM, but it was worth the wait, and the cover... More

Okay, the foods not great, it's just okay but we go for the music and not the food. We go every time we're in Paris and always love the piano playing and the singing. Last night we had two locals playing as well as an elderly tourist, apart from the professional. The music varies from opera to light opera to... More

We booked the place a good week in advance. We had read that it was one of the true Parisian cabaret's. And that the thing to do was to eat at the restaurant, which had great classical music, and then go downstairs, where the basement rocks -- a true Parisian cabaret. So here is our experience: the reservation was not... More

We were seated in the restaurant downstairs under ground, which appears to be in caves. The setting itself is very unusual, it makes a change eating dinner in a cave, although there is quite a strong smell of damp. The food wasn't great - I definitely wouldn't recommend going there just to eat. The entertainment is more Benidorm than Moulin... More

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
