Boat cruise on the Seine is worth it!

We went on a boat cruise after visiting the Eiffel Tower. It was a great choice to do so! It was nice to relax and see all the monuments along the river bank.

Everyone has heard of the River Seine! It is worth a quick trip to take photos. If you are sight seeing you will likely find yourself in the vicinity with opportunity to take a photo to say you've been here!

Mais oui, bien sur. Walk along the River Seine any time of year, any weather, day or night -- can it get any better?

The best way to see a history of magnificent French architecture, particularly Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque. Beautiful structures hugging both banks. Not a concern, but expect a faint aroma reminiscent of septic.

Great thing to do in both the sunny and wet weather. Such a nice trip, relaxing time off your feet. Good information while you on the boat.

River Seine: take a boat cruise to learn some historic facts but also take a walking tour on your own. Don't forget to take a box of macarons with you and sit on the bench to eat them while admiring the river, the swans, the Parisians jogging or biking.

Whether by day or night, strolling along the Seine just makes it more beautiful. By day you can stroll along while eating ice cream, browse through the various vendors and by night you can take or watch the boats. Beautiful river in the most beautiful city.

If you got the time its a pleasureable little ride. You can see the architecture from a different angle. I took a champagne cruise. It was hot and rushed. I would rather just have liked a simple ride and enjoyed it more.

My children and I enjoyed this lovely ride down the Seine taking in some great history along the way. The top deck offered great views and great photo ops. This trip is worth every penny.

Staying in Les Halles

Neighborhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
