My husband and I really enjoyed the boat cruise that took us for a tour of the seine river. We went in the evening, and the view was amazing! if you have time walk down the river as there is great places to sit, eat, and relax!

The Seine is indeed the pulse of Paris. Cool evenings after hot days, locals picnicking at 1am on the bridges, fantastic views on every bridge, unparalleled people watching, great place to sit and have sorbet or Gelato. Only drawback: the ubiquitous smell of urine.

Cruising down the river provides an allure for more of Paris. Ours was an hour long with auto guide devices. Another operator offers a hop on, hope off feature which may be a great option to explore some of the spots. Have camera ready shortly after the boat turns around; there is an amazing view of Notre Dame cathedral which... More

The Seine is nice open walk from which to view not only the river but also the wonderful architecture in the area. In hindsight, the walks along the Seine were some of the most relaxing and memorable times during my visit to Paris.

By boat, we probably did not choose the best option. The trip was not an experience, but more like we did sometinhg instead of doing nothing... We will look for a more comfy and cosy solution to explore La Seine!

What a great way to see the City. Relax, take in the views, sneak on some bubbles and enjoy a boat ride down the Seine. We went at dusk....the colors of the sky...natures beauty. Was truly amazing!

Magical river with wonderful bridges. Take a gentle stroll along the river and spend some time on the bridges. Leave a love padlock.

Took the dinner river cruise which is about 2 hours. The views of paris are something that cant be easily explained unless you experience it. The food was equally amazing and very tasty. The shepherd's Pie with Duck was a real filler.

One way to see the historic monuments in Paris is through a cruise on the River Seine. The cruise itself gives you a nice view of the Louvre, Museum of Orsay, Notre Dame, the Eiffel Tower among other historic buildings & several beautiful bridges. You will also get to see the locals sun bathing or having a picnic on the... More

Staying in Les Halles

Neighborhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
