If god existed this would be where he purchased baked goods. Utter perfection and beauty and perfect flavor.

I went back to Fauchon after many years. In my recollection they had the best croissants ever. So I had to try them again and I have to admit that they are still number one! Really really delicious. The pastries have changed quite a bit since I last was there (many many years ago), but I had a black chocolate... More

I am remiss in posting this review. I went to Fauchon to buy various gifts for foodies back in the states. I loved it. I will say, though, that the tea I brought from Fauchon for three different friends were loved by them all. I bought a rose tea for one and she actually shared a cup with me a... More

The store is beautiful and has so many options that we get lost and is pretty hard to choose the best option. I chose a small pie with vanilla cream and a chocolate eclair, but both disappointed me so much.

One of the things to do when visiting Paris is taste the Parisien cusine and chocolatiers. At Fauchon we had a light gourmet lunch and bought macarons to bring back home. Everything was exquisite. It's expensive. Top quality deserves to be.

I ordered two items from two different counters, and both the cod dinner and the raspberry tart were very good. I've been here a few times and I've always found the service efficient and friendly. As mentioned, food is not cheap but it is considered fine cuisine. I'm not a connoisseur and there are plenty of patisseries, bistros and restaurants... More

We normally pick food items to take home with us from here but this time we also sat on the deck and had a light meal - lunch. The foie gras du canard was excellent. Likewise the risotto with truffles was a delight. Espresso gave the kick. We sat and watched people pass by buy ice creams from the counter... More

This is a popular shop in France . Quality of the food are good and tasty. You may consider to buy them back for souvenirs when you are in Paris for holidays. The items are above mid to high price range . Service is average and I walked in they do not impressed me that they are offering good customer... More

This was recommended to us by a friend who had lived in Paris. The pastries look and taste divine: some almost look too good to eat. We purchased some of their croissants for breakfast and they were delicious.,if we had the time, and the space, we would take some with us when we leave.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
