An evening to remember.
Nov 2020
This was the final item of a tour which began with dinner at the Eiffel Tower, continued with a sunset cruise on the Sienne and now 'the best for last'. Our guide Harvey was obviously well known to the doorman as with a handshake and a few words we were ushered straight in without having to queue. Once inside we sat in a large waiting room until another security guard (after another handshake and a few words) called as to him, as we got there he raised the rope to let in people who had obviously been waiting for some time so we were among the first in. We explained to the person checking tickets that we were a party of 8 and were shown to a table with a great view. Our tickets included a glass of champagne each which was very nice. The show was amazing, singing and dancing was good, costumes fantastic and the 'speciality' acts were unbelievable. The show manages to appeal to everyone, even if you don't speak French it really doesn't matter. It's expensive but if you can find the tour we did (and get Harvey as your guide) it's worth every penny and will give you an evening you'll never forget.

Adults only show

It was a great show. You can tell they spent a fortune on the costumes. The acts were amazing. I little bit of Cirque de Soleil. Funny, thoughtful and elegant skits. Order the bottle or half bottle of champagne and if you book early, you can do the dinner show.

Worst experience , waste of time and money
The worst customer service experience of my life. Absolutely impossible French style bureaucracy in ever attempting to get a refund. It took 18 months, dozens of emails and a very inconvenient method for repayment. Just watch the movie ! Not worth visiting.

Beautiful !!!
One of the most beautifully choreographed shows I have seen so far. Just describing it as a cabret would not do justice. The performances and the performers are amazing. Very well composed and coordinated. Had a wonderful evening.

C’est Féérie!
A simply magical experience. It’s difficult to describe how truly special an evening at the Moulin Rouge show is. The building is captivating when lit up at night and the internal decor is equally as special.

I booked a ticket for the Féérie show at 9pm. Doors open at 8pm. I would recommend following the advice of dressing up smartly for the evening - they were letting in people in jeans and trainers but it’s a special experience and it’s nice to be wearing something commensurate to the occasion.

As for the show itself I was captivated from the very beginning - the music is a mix of upbeat, big band spectaculars. Seeing a melange of 80 men and women take to the stage in spectacular dresses is a sight to behold. The dancers perform with such energy and the costume changes in between songs must be a hurried affair but it is all carried off impeccably. The dance troupe sections are complemented by some high risk and high jeopardy acts - I hadn’t watched any preview beforehand (there is little to be found online as Moulin Rouge seem very protective over their brand and music which make this all the more special) so was literally gobsmacked when I saw the the stage floor disappear to reveal something I have never seen before in a theatre!

My favourite songs were the catchy chants ‘Paris Danse’ and the signature song ‘Féérie.’ Such was my enthusiasm I purchased the CD soundtrack - if you like the music the ONLY place you can get the music from the show is from the official CD - no Spotify, no Amazon Music - nothing. I haven’t stopped playing it since.

All in all a truly wonderful experience and I cannot wait to come back in the future and see it again.

I'm Bummed
Sep 2021
When we booked our Moulin Rouge tickets, all systems were go for international travel. Then France put this Health Pass Requirement in place. We filled out the forms, including recores of our vaccinations, but were told France was overwhelmed with requests, so we couldn't get a health pass, though we could go into a pharmacy every 72 hours for a screening. This was MUCH more than we bargained for. Happily, we got our money back on everything except the Moulin Rouge. Yes, I know, it said no refunds, but my goodness, this was an exceptional situation and I am equally unhappy with the venue itself and Viator which handled the booking.
