A must go! Not only for its history and wonderful architecture, but for its cultural activiites. Whether one is looking for classical european plays, or modern and instigating ones, at the main theatre or at the Vieux Colombier theatre, a wonder in culture and top players, directors, artists. I would consider this a world heritage site!

La Comédie Française is the best national cultural institution of France. Situated between the Louvre museum and the Opéra Garnier it is superb to visit. Molière's armchair is a "must" to see there. During the intervals of all plays, the spectators rush to see the armchair on which Molière performed his last play, "le Malade Imaginaire". Molière died 2 hours... More

The Comédie-Française ou Théâtre-Français, is a French cultural and mythical institution founded in 1680 and located next to the Palais Royal since 1799. It is a public establishment and has a troupe of permanent actors. Molière is considered the theater icon. The chair where he started his death throes can be seen at the end of the Galeries des Bustes.... More

My Favourite theatre in Paris, undoubtedly the most beautiful, though it passing the centuries, it remains the same, awesome and beautiful. The room "Richelieu" is according to me, the most gorgeous room and the most representative of the art of France. Words miss me to explain how the theatre is ! I provide you to go to see one or... We attended the Cabaret Georges Brassens show at the Studio-Théâtre (Galerie du Carrousel du Louvre - 99 rue de Rivoli--not the main theater; Studio-Théâtre is in a mall, which features in inverted pyramid and access to the Louvre). We had discovered Brassens in the course of planning our trip. We purchased tickets in advance via La Comedie Francaise website. The... More

Found La Comedie Francaise by accident, while being as usual lost while walking around Paris. Very beautiful building with so much history. Went into their shop and found the most kind ladies I encountered in Paris. The stores have great and fine things to buy, they wrapped beautifully yall our purchases. A treat to be just inside.
