Big prices, gorgeous fragrances, stunning interiors, ultra pretty and beautiful and those lovely perfume bottles- just how perfume should be packaged.A bewildering array of scents to try so I tried 2 only.Very special.
The shop near Place Vendome is so inviting, even though I had no intention of buying at that point, it's irresistible if you love beautiful scents.

Annick Goutal makes the best perfume in the world (sorry Jo Malone) and you must absolutely buy a bottle, and the refill before exiting the country. Do not buy this in the US as there is different perfume alcohol content laws and you will be buying a watered down version in the states. Another thing to remember is that when you buy a couple of bottles plus a refill you qualify for the tax rebate, ask the assistant to stamp your receipt and you can claim the luxury goods tax back upon your departure. Well worth looking into when buying luxury goods in Paris. I prefer the Ave de Roses shop in the Marais where Nadine, who has worked at Annick Goutal for some 25 years will find the scent just right for you and much more. She will give you a personal tid bit about the celebrity who wears each scent and a delightful story about her experience with the people who wear that scent. While I am a Petit Cherie convert, don't be afraid to let her guide you to scent that she thinks will suit your personality. The most beautiful perfume in the world.

I visited Paris several times , have my good memories and other bad ones , but the one benefit which is uncomfortable is finding (my perfume) , it's like meeting your soul mate , ( exquisite ) is me , is mine , I own the world when I have it on , it makes me never forget the experience of smelling the fragrance among others and realising I was suddenly looking in a mirror. Annick goutal , you r the best 💓💓

I've always loved Anouck Goutel and usually stop in their St. Sulpice shop when I'm in Paris. I was jet lagged the name for the scent I wanted was escaping me, so as I was trying to remember it (the sales lady wouldn't let me touch anything or look on the shelves, maybe because of COVID restrictions) the sales lady started to actually make fun of me not realizing that I spoke French. I love their perfumes but the cliche imperial sales lady was a bit much as I handed over $100 for may favorite scent. They need to do better if they want to revive their sales.

I am constantly surprised to find how few people know about Annick Goutal which is such a pity as her delightful scents are timeless and perfect for both men and women.Although there are now several boutiques throughout Paris with the one on rue de Castiglione being the largest, my favourite is still the one on 16 rue de Bellechase. I first discovered this treasure some years ago whilst staying at the neaby Hotel Montalembert. Although tiny, you can spend hours in this jewel of a shop. Depending on the customer, the knowledgable assistants will help you discover the scent for you, or leave you to browse in your own time. Forget the noise and bustle of busy department stores and enjoy the peace and elegance of truly personnal attention; shopping the way one imagines it used to be.

Several years ago I chanced upon the Annouk Goutal store in the 6th, and was overwhelmed with sincere service and amazingly original scents. I wrote a review at that time because the experience really stood out, and now I write another. Then, I bought my daughter a gift, and this time I returned to buy myself something. Again, friendly and knowledgeable personal service. The young woman gave her time in a way a little beyond expected. So lovely. And the range of scents are really original and interesting. I made my choice. And without doubt, will one day return again. My advice...forgo a bland department store, and head to this small and intimate boutique!

My husband and I stumbled upon Annick Goutal by chance when we were out strolling the Champs-Elysees and what a find! I really wanted to purchase a perfume while in Paris -- something that would evoke warm memories. The best kind of souvenir! The shop isn't large but has a surprisingly generous selection of different perfumes to choose from. As opposed to just men's or women's fragrances, they also have a number of unisex scents. The sales woman was friendly and helpful but stood back and let us browse at our leisure. Ultimately, I chose Nuit Etoilee (which means "Starry Night."), which is a definite departure from my typical perfume choice. Every time I wear it, my thoughts immediately return to our amazing trip to Paris and the French countryside. As opposed to settling for the typical mass produced trinkets (i.e. mini Eiffel towers, T-shirts, etc.), I recommend treating yourself to something truly special at Annick Goutal.

I'm surprised there aren't more reviews of this wonderful perfume shop. Annick Goutal formulates fabulous scents, my favorite is Eau de Hadrien which is for men or women. There are now several locations in Paris for Annick Goutal, see the website for addresses. No trip to Paris is complete for me without a visit to Annick Goutal.

I had the pleasure of visiting Annick Goutal in the Marais and loved every minute of my visit. The perfume is beautiful, the shop gorgeous and the salesperson, Louise, was absolutely lovely. Louise spoke English very well and was so patient as I chose my perfume. This was my first experience purchasing perfume in Paris and I feel fortunate to have had it here! Perfection!

I stumbled upon the store in the 6th today, and could not have asked for a more perfect experience. I haltingly spoke French to begin with, but the delightful and sincerely friendly sales woman was more than happy to speak English and guide me through a heavenly sensory experience. I'm quite fussy about scent, but I have to say all, all I came to try were interesting and unusual. Why shop in a department store, when an experience such as this is personal and intimate. I made my choice, but heck, I have a few days still in Paris and I would not be surprised if I go back. I highly, highly recommend!
