Touted as a "must see" on many Parix visit lists, this isn't really a store, it is a mall without interior walls, featuring designer labels. Along with the Galerie Layfettes (which occupy more buildings in the area) many visit here. The stained glass dome is really beautiful, and the views from the Terasse were great, but Montmare's Sacre Couer Cathedral has the same, and beautiful Renaissance art as well. H&M is actually a department store in this neighborhood. A much better shopping experience would be found on the Rue Rivoli or many other streets in the area as residences are built above the shops and cafes, so all streets have great shopping. Printemps means Spring, and you will have one in your step after purchasing something there because your wallet will be much lighter. Oh, it was snowing lightly in Paris on 1/8/24, -3C.

Helpful staff. I liked the merchandise because it was different from what I had seen at every other department store. The store's buyers seem to know what most appeals to shoppers. There were items at the mid-range through luxury goods. If I lived in France, it would probably be my favorite department store.

Althoug there are few stores in the city, and only having been here but several times, even if I return or not, reevaluating the overall experience such as products' diversity, brands, prices, staff attention, place in general, location and other services, and after a deep analysis about quality over payment, for "Grands Magasins" recently visited, my really objective, honest and reasonable rating perhaps should be a 5/5, and at least a 2nd in my personal ranking. Sorry if doesn't match the others' criteria. This one in a certain way compites and complements the other next door major store, because you could find some things only here.

We visited here to take in the spectacular views from the Sun Club up on the 7th floor. Couple of glasses of champagne with some small shrimp nibbles set us back €40 but it was money well spent. The veuve clicquot was icy cold as you would expect and didn’t disappoint. Stunning. So good I came back later that day with my teen daughter. Didn’t do any clothes shopping per se but they had all the major designer labels
