About
Dali Paris exhibits over 300 artworks by Salvador Dali from a private collection. Painting, sculptures, etchings, surrealist objects and furniture bring to life the peculiar ideas of an insatiable explorer, passionate about atomic science, the Antiquity, the Renaissance, alchemy or religion. Salvador Dali never stopped modeling, transforming. His sculptures are one of the major aspects of his life work, materializing in three dimensions his surrealistic obsessional motifs: soft watches, spindly legs animals, open or closed drawers. Salvador Dali had an encyclopedic culture, and reinvents major texts from international literature by illustrating them: Alice in Wonderland, Don Quichotte, the Bible, offering an infinite variety of forms and colors, from delicate watercolors to striking splashes. The Art Gallery will offer specialized advice thanks to qualified experts, archive consultation and catalogues raisonnes.

Wasn't expecting to find it so quiet, only just around the corner from Montmartre and there was only one other couple in there on a Saturday afternoon, which was a surprise.

Entrance was 13 Euro and there is lots to see for that, don't expect any famous Dali canvasses or anything but there is a lot of original artwork/sketches and some pieces of memorabilia etc.

Very interesting back story as well so lots to discover!

Really very nice little museum (in fact it is one very large exhibition room) where you learn a lot about Dali, excellent audio tour. Only reason not to give 5 stars is that the entrance fee is about the same as the Louvre, which is like 500 times bigger. But we did enjoy ourselves.

Dear Cees K, Thank you for your feedback. We are a private museum while Louvre is a public museum with all the subsidies that this may involve that's why we can't have lower prices. We are glad to know you enjoyed yourselves and we hope you have a great time in Paris. Best regards,

The Dali Paris is not a must see in Paris like the Orsay or the Louvre. Dali was a great artist but the Dali Paris has the feel more like an art gallery than a museum dedicated to this guy. It's part of the Paris City Pass so we made use of it but if you're short in time, you can avoid this. The Paris museum is definitely not on the same evel as the St. Petersburg one. It doesn't have any of the great giant portraits like Florida does. It does have many drawings and sculptures but I was left wanting. 90 minutes would be sufficient here.

Dear StephenN1694, Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that you didn't enjoy our museum as much as the one in Florida. Our collection is a private one with more than 300 artworks with mainly sculptures and engravings. But as you said we do not have giant portraits nor oil paintings but we hope you liked your experience anyway (and Montmartre!) Best regards,

If you're into Dali or art in general this is a good way to spend an hour or two. It's not a huge museum but it's well stocked in terms of the art itself and the information it provides on Dali. Also it's central location lends itself to being part of a day in the area. Worth a visit!

I very much enjoyed visiting Dali Paris! The museum is fantastic, it includes a wide range of Dali’s works and helpful explanations around his use of symbols in his work. There is also a gallery that sells original works from Dali which includes a great selection and the certainty of their authenticity given their expertise. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

This is a private museum of an art dealer who worked with Dali. The museum has an impressive collection of sculpture work by Surrealist artist Salvador Dali. The artwork is displayed with text descriptions in French and English. There is also artwork available for sale before exiting the museum and gallery.
A visit here can easily be paired with a visit to the Sacre Coeur and Musee d'Montmartre.

We had a spare hour in Montmartre and enjoy art but are far from experts. This gallery was wonderful. A wide range of pieces including book illustrations which I had no idea about beforehand. Just the right amount of information about Dali’s life and work. I really enjoyed it and went away wanting to read more about his art.

It was very nice have the chance of seeing some pieces of the very famous artist. The museum is a little bit hidden in Montmartre but it is worth it visiting it... The attraction was included on the Paris Pass card we had bought before going to Paris.

Not very big, but it has more sculptures than many other Dali-exhibitions I've been to. The idea of showing Dali together with street artists that are inspired by him was an interesting idea. I really liked this place, and so did our teenage daughter.

I'm a big fan of Dali so when I went to Paris with my friends, I really wanted to visit the "espace Dali" which is located in Montmartre. I've been a bit disappointed because it is very small and there are not that much paintings of him. It's not what you can call a real exhibition.
