Harry's Bar has a good vibe to it and is one of the places to go when you are out on the town in Paris. The drinks are expensive, but hey, you are in Paris, so what do you expect?! The bugers at Harry's are really good.

This was an adorable bar and is well worth stopping in for a visit. Not only do they make amazing cocktails, it was neat to drink here for historic reasons. It is the oldest cocktail bar in Paris and known to be the spot where several classic drinks such as The Bloody Mary and Sidecar were invented. Hemingway and Chanel drank here and Gershwin composed "American In Paris" in the piano corner downstairs. Though the drinks are on the pricey side, they are worth it. As the evening progressed the lights were dimmed and a piano player came in to entertain for the evening. It was romantic and lovely and we ended up having a second round. Over all this was a fabulous place to enjoy history and meticulously made delicious cocktails.

It was ok. We went for a drink and had hoped for some type of small plates but no food served except hot dogs. That was our fault for not checking out in advance. Piano playing was going to be starting later. Iconic bar.

A nice classic bar where for example the French 75 was invented. I was a bit surprised that the bar looked more like a pub/sportsbar, but maybe I just imagined something else when thinking of a classic bar from the early 1900. Great and friendly staff that got us a table right away. We got our cocktails fast!

I always go out of my way to visit Harry’s when I’m in Paris (I went twice the last time I was in town): it’s a perfectly charming, old school establishment with a nice ambience and it’s a cut above the majority of other bars in the area: a word of warning though, don’t overdo it on the alcohol and end up bankrupting yourselves by trying work your way down the entire drinks list, it’s not cheap.
