Beautiful church for those who love gotic style is this your place, always a bit crowdy, but full of history. I must confess I enjoyed outside more than inside.

I have seen this jewel of a cathedral 3 times now. Once when I was 9 and then 2 times in the past 3 years. I remember as a kid being amazed, and wondered if I would still be so impressed as an adult. Wow!...More

We stopped by for the routine touristy stop but then went back right before "Closing". We were able to watch part of the mass and it was spectacular in such a beautiful setting.

Astonishing that this landmark was 900 years in the making. The stained glass windows that are visible from the nave are spectacular and true works of art. Some useful tips: 1) Dress appropriately for a visit to a church. Women with bare shoulders for example...More

Two islands sit in the middle of the Seine at the very
heart of Paris. The more majestic one, Ile de la Cité,
sparkles with history. This is the birthplace of
Paris, the home of the Gothic Sainte-Chapelle, and the
site of the prison where Marie Antoinette was held
before her execution. Tourists flock to see the iconic
Notre Dame and the beautiful bridges that straddle the
Seine. Ile Saint-Louis, the more provincial island,
