This art gallery is free to enter but you have to pay for special exhibitions. It is a bit confusing when you enter. There is a stunning mural called "The Electric Fairy" and a really good Matisse. However the day we visited a lot of...More

Here is a free museum of modern art that makes a great lunch activity. We went on a Sunday. Not crowded. The cafe has very good hot meals made on site and a selection of sandwiches. The cafe patio overlooks the Eiffel Tower and has...More

These three very different artists knew each other and influenced each other. This very large, well presented exhibition displays many of their best works as well as some lesser known ones sometimes from private collections. It also shows that they all worked on costumes and decors...More

Love free stuff, especially in Paris. The majority of the rooms with the permanent collection are being renovated, but there is still much to see. A gallery exhibiting the works of Derain, Balthus, and Giacometti. For one visit it was definitely enough to see! No...More

The mural on the top floor of the permanent display in the museum is well worth the visit, tracing famous scientist through history, and getting close to changes that have happened. The lower floor has some very interesting paintings showing different techniques and letting the...More

It was our third time in Paris so we had already visited the Louvre, Orsay, etc. This museum is different and fresh... and the entrance is free (for the permanent part).

I love modern art, however my experience was left a little bewildered and it wasn't the art. I read that the permanent display was free and you paid for the temporary exhibits. Sounds easy enough. Well we tried to figure out where our temporary exhibit...More

Creative, abstract, breathtaking, simple and great, paradoxical, crazy and intriguing - these and much more adjectives can be used to describe this " Medusa" exhibition! Loved it!

This is the neighborhood of grand and impressive
Haussmann-designed apartments and buildings. National
museums overlook the Eiffel Tower and embassies fill
the avenues and streets. Locals head to the butcher,
florist, or bakery on their daily rounds amidst luxury
and splendor, all with a view over Paris and its most
famous tower. Snuggled in between the grand buildings
