Arrive by metro and step out and be prepared to be in awe. Yes, this is it and you don’t ant to miss this location. Spend some time taking photos— the place just brings joy! FaceTime your family! You are in Paris! Walk down and get closer and closer to the tower.

Excellent place for children and adults!
Le Trocadero et son esplanade are located in front of the Eiffel Tower, the most important tourist point in París. It is a place, always full of people, from where you can see the best views of Eiffel Tower and surroundings. So, it is a perfect green zone, where you can sit, relax and do a picnic, or come to play with children if you are on holidays in the city. Really, a fantastic place for children and adults. A very recommendable option to come before or after visiting Eiffel Tower, in the day or at night, always. (See also Fontaine du Trocadero, Les Jardins du Trocadero and Eiffel Tower)

A tourist trap but still a fantastic location
Loads of people, and hawkers everywhere but still a fabulous location to get those fantastic Eiffel Tower photos especially at night. Just a few minutes walk from the metro stop. Usually, I would avoid these locations as they are very touristy which this place is, but it's big enough to cope with all the people and I was rewarded with some incredible photos.

A lively square that is great for people watching and listening to musical performers. This is a large space and, even though, crowded, does not feel overly so. Come here to get a great view of the Tour Eiffel but stay for the entertainment. The lower level and northern side have the better view of the Eiffel Tower for those who are looking to take breathtaking pictures.

This is the best place for a picture perfect shot of Eiffel tower. The garden and the tiled floor both give a great view. We get a complete view of the tower along with the clouds on the top and grass/tiles at the foot, which makes it a wonderful view. Don't miss but be careful, it will be too crowded and there are plenty of photo shoot sessions going on all the time.

We had problems getting here due to the transport strike. So, we went early on Sunday January 12th. Surprisingly still many people around. Also lots of pushy 'sales people' selling cheap wares like imitation Eiffel Tower etc. But don't let that deter You.

This is the best place for viewing The Tower, as one has an unobstructed view from here. Also, the day we were there we had the chance to also view lots of brides-to-be having their photo shoot taken here.

Might I also mention if You are hungry while facing the Tower? Turn around and Le Wilson is to Your right - excellent restaurant!

So glad we made the effort to come here. But looking at the photos on here, it must be spectacular in Summertime when the fountains are in full flow.

Great excuse to come back!

Especially at night with the Eiffel Tower light it can get really busy. It is very dark over their so make sure to be safe and hold onto with whom ever you are with. When I was there a mother lost her son and every one was looking out for him.

I have been there 3 times during my visit to Paris and I can only say HOW DIRTY it was. Giant rats everywhere and beer bottles scattered all around. Paris should do better to recover minimum safety and hygiene measures to offer the great experience they sell to the world.

This is a beautiful and romantic place. You can have a picnic during the day, but you must also at night, it is even more beautiful.
I also visited the Eifel Tower and the ticket is not very expensive. I recommend the tour!
The view of the city is wonderful!

this plaza is between two museums (Architecture and Marine) on the top part (where you want to get to for your photos) with a large reflecting pool on the Seine side. There food vendors there as well as lots of Souvenier sales people - these and the view bring lots of people. This does casue you to have to jockey for positon for that perfect photo but it is worth it.

Right across the Eiffel Tower on top of the big square there is this huge space that people go to take pictures. It is indeed a great spot at any time of the day and night. If you don't want people in your picture you have to arrive early in the morning.

Metro station near by is Trocadero.

Free to visit and to take pictures! A must to go and see in Paris.

The esplanade is located inside Trocadero Park at the top of the fountain. This area is also close to where the museum is.
We didn't go into the museum but did spend a bit of time here taking a few photos of the Eiffel Tower. I could see why this place would give a really nice vantage but it was a bit foggy when we were there so the tower was incomplete.
Even though it wasn't the best day for taking pictures of the tower it was still quite busy.
The garden is also a nice place to walk around so it isn't a bad place to visit.
