This building's facade won a municipal competition in 1901 for its architect, Jules Lavirotte. The doorway features fantastic sculptures (including Adam & Eve) & forms, &, as its centre-piece, an inverted penis!

The complex work on the façade of the building rivals anything Barcelona or Brussels puts on show. There is so much detail, that binoculars or a good zoom lens on a camera are helpful for picking up details at the top of the building. I...More

Substantial apartment building along the park in a substantial neighborhood. But the knock-out is the art nouveau entrance, quite unique. Would love to get inside.

We were wondering around and found this house. It looks different comparing to classic Paris style. We had a lunch at the Italian restaurant across the street - very nice

What a hidden gem this is. If you are in the neighborhood, it totally worth it to make the detour and admire its unique architecture, reminding of Gaudi in Barcelona. It was a delight to come across it and recommend it.
