Walking tour with Hugo

It was nice to discover the city's most famous (and also some of the not-so-famous ones) sights with Hugo. I loved the historical facts and the additional stories too.

We attended 3 walking tours (Paris landmarks, Latin Quartier and Montmarte) with Onno, he is the best. I strongly recommend Montmarte tour. It was magical. Also, you should check out Sandeman's tour packages.

I was very excited to do this tour and was counting on it for the afternoon but the guide cancelled because they did not have enough people and because some people were late. This was very disappointing because people kept arriving 1-2 mins late and were sent away. And the thing about the number of people is not an excuse... More

Onno took us on a walking tour around Paris and it was absolutely amazing. We learned so much and prepare yourself for his killer puns ;)

By far one of the best walking tours I've taken, and at this point I've been on a bunch. Oliver is an incredibly talented actor and he uses that along the way, which is exactly what makes or breaks a good tour. Hilarious and entertaining, I highly recommend.

Went on the walking tour of Montmartre with Marie on a foggy, dreary day. However, she was an excellent tour guide and this visit to Montmartre was my favorite part of my 5 days in Paris. Sandeman's is great because, since you pay as a "tip" at the end, you never leave the tour feeling cheated. But beyond the pricing... More

Our tour guide Hugo showed us around the city . He told us about main attractions and provided lots of interesting facts about history, culture. He has a very good sense of humor. I would recommend going on that tour to have a taste of Paris esp. on your first day and decided how you would like to plan the... More

We had an amazing experience on both the free tour & Montmartre night tour with the hilarious Oliver. What a gem! Oliver was full of charisma, knowledge & handy advice. I recommend doing the free tour at the beginning of the trip. We were shown some key places around Paris and recommended others to explore later. Oliver taught our group... More

Staying in Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis

Neighborhood Profile
Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis
Two islands sit in the middle of the Seine at the very heart of Paris. The more majestic one, Ile de la Cité, sparkles with history. This is the birthplace of Paris, the home of the Gothic Sainte-Chapelle, and the site of the prison where Marie Antoinette was held before her execution. Tourists flock to see the iconic Notre Dame and the beautiful bridges that straddle the Seine. Ile Saint-Louis, the more provincial island, welcomes you with cozy traditional eateries, small boutiques, and what some people say is the best ice cream in the city. This is essential Paris from its very beginnings to its modern appeal.
