2hrs class on how to make macaron by yourself. Funny, colourful house and very creative location. Marie did not give the class herself but it was interesting and the macarons are very yummi. A little bit more explanation and especially help with the decoration would have been very helpful.

This wasn't my first trip to Paris and I had a lot of free time on my own as my husband was at a conference. Decided to give this a try and am so glad I did! Admittedly it was a little overwhelming at first because I am not a great seamstress or even designer. But the ladies there all made it work and made it so much fun. It was great to interact with real French people instead of just doing tourist things. If you like whimsey and you would like to do more than museums in Paris, this is a great alternative. And I ended up with a great denim jacket that is a conversation piece. A great time!

Bought as a present for my daughter and a friend, who really enjoyed the process. However, it is not clear at any point (especially at the point you purchase) that there are very limited options for the purchase price and just about everything costs extra. It is also not always clear what costs extra and how much (surprised to find at the end that lining with a zip cost extra, vs lining without a zip).
To be clear, they really enjoyed it and bags are lovely, but you should expect to pay more than the booking price. I was disappointed that the gift ended up costing their own money, which they had not budgeted for.

I bought this for my wife because I thought it would be a unique birthday gift, but she was disappointed in the entire process.
She said another class was designing jackets during the same time and the instructor spent most of her time with them. Pretty much leaving them to figure it out on their own.
I also thought I was paying for the instruction and the purse, but apparently not because she told me she had to pay another $150 because of the material she selected. It would of been nice to know what was extra before she made the purse.
I done a lot of these tours and have scheduled tours like these for my clients being a travel agent and I can say this was the worst experience and will not be recommending to any future clients.

Too many people in the workshop. Not enough instructors. Fabric was very disorganized. We thought it would be max 3 hours. Took 5 hours to do the workshop. Was never offered any food or drink. Messed up the colors on my purse, my friends purse didn’t have the right fabric and my other friends purse won’t close.
I wouldn’t recommend this.

I would not recommend Mini Me while you are in Paris. First, there were 12 of us to one single instructor trying to teach all of us how to make these bags. This instructor was also not very kind nor helpful and we had to constantly ask her what we should do or where we should find certain objects, rather than being guided through the experience. Additionally, it takes much longer than 3 hours, we ended up leaving around 1:20 pm after arriving at 9:00am. This was fairly frustrating as we had other plans that we had to reschedule. Finally, the experience was extremely expensive. Everyone that was in the class with us did not leave without spending an additional $150 on their bags -- with some people spending an additional 300 on their creations-- because the instructions were very unclear and the materials were not properly labeled. We ended up spending around $320 per bag after thinking the deposit would be close to enough to cover our creations. We did not have a great experience as it was more expensive than we were anticipating in addition to the fact that the staff was not helpful nor kind.

I wish I had done this at the beginning of my trip so I could sign up again! Especially after learning what works best. Regardless, it was an awesome experience for everyone there, including non-sewers. I’ve recommended it to my FB sewing group some of whom
Have already signed up for a class during their upcoming visits. 10/10!!!

This hat making class just might be the unique and fun experience you are looking for in Paris. Jean, our instructor, was superb. Such a professional, knowledgeable and creative teacher! Our small class was just right. My sister and I, from the USA were fortunate to be taking class with the nicest French people. We will treasure our memories of this time. Not only do you learn about the hat making process but you are guided to complete a chapeau of your own design. The class was managed in both French and English which was perfect. The studio where the class was held is a well directed, dynamic atelier where you can see other hand made works and also purchase gifts for your return home. This class in my opinion is a must do in Paris!

After spending a morning taking the amazing Denim Jacket class at Chaperllerie MiniMe Paris, I was fortunately enough to also be taking this hat making class, which is held in the same facility. I can't rave enough about how much FUN this class (and the jean jacket class!) are! Definitely a highlight of my trip. Guaranteed fabulous results!
First they have roughly a dozen different colors for your base hat. Then you customize it by deciding how large you want the brim to be as well as the shape of the top of the hat. With a combination of using a spray bottle, steam iron, stretching, rolling and nailing the felt, you ultimately end up with your own custom hat! While the hat is baking to firm up the shape, there are endless scarves, ribbons, feathers, sequin appliques, buttons, etc to further customize your hat. Once it's finished "baking", you stitch in the interior hat band and use a special tool to cut the brim. SOOOO much fun!!! There are professionals there every step of the way to assure your creation will be wonderful! What a unique thing to do on a trip to Paris, and a fabulous souvenir which easily could cost a similar amount to purchase somewhere else, only this is your special creation! Can't rave enough about this!

I can't rave enough about this class! I had the good fortune of stumbling upon their listing and WOW was it phenomenal!!! The ambiance and decor felt as if you suddenly were transported into Alice in Wonderland.
Chapellerie MiniMe Paris recently added this class and I had the good fortune of being one of the first people.
As it was a new class, I was the only one - which meant I had two expert women, one over each shoulder, guiding me every step of the way.
The class started with looking through four stacks of "vests" (the jean jacket minus the sleeves, collar and pocket flaps. Each stack was a different color (stone wash, acid wash, fleece lined, etc). Measurements were taken to fit the vest portion to my body, which one of the designers took care of.
Next a large assortment of sleeves, collars and pocket flaps were put out to choose from, using various fabrics and colors. Honestly I felt like a kid who had just been given the keys to the candy store! In addition there were some AMAZING woven fabrics (the main designer still has connections with some very high level, high fashion companies!) as a choice to sew on to the back. And to add a finishing flourish there were numerous sequined appliques, buttons, etc to pick out and add to your jacket.
Once everything was picked out, it was time to pin the various pieces and sew them together on a heavy duty professional sewing machine. The two amazing seamstress/designers (so sorry, I don't recall their names - one was the mother of the main designer!) were SO helpful in pinning, and overseeing that I was stitching everything properly.
Honestly this was one of the, if not THE most fun classes I have EVER taken - PLUS I had an amazing souvenir which easily would have cost more than the class if I had purchased it in a boutique. Even if you don't sew, this is a great time to learn - AND the women who were helping me were more than happy to do all the sewing, pinning, etc. if I had wanted.
