I’ve been fortunate to have been able to visit Paris many times on both business and personal trips. I’ve learned that despite many visits, there are still wonderful discoveries to be made. Several years ago a friend suggested I book a tour with Sight Seekers Delight. I was traveling with my sister and my daughter and thought, “well I know Paris but they don’t so this might be a good idea.” So I took my friend’s advice and booked a tour of Montmartre. Boy, was I glad I did. Our guide was terrific, fun knowledgeable and showed us a little backstreets, hidden parks and monuments while sharing stories and history that we never would have discovered on our own. I vowed next trip I’d be booking another tour.
This past trip I went with my husband. After looking over some of the offerings I decided to do a taste of Paris tour. I scheduled the morning tour which ended with lunch. When we met our tour guide we were were delighted to learn she was Karen, who is he owner of Sight Seekers Delight. She is absolutely terrific. We had a wonderful morning wandering through the market at rue Mouffetard, meeting and speaking with numerous shopkeepers, learning from Karen about Julia Child’s favorite marketplace while she made purchases for our lunch. The tour ended with a feast we shared with Karen that was filmed with great conversation followed by dessert at a gem of a local restaurant that you’d never find in your own.
All I can say is “Do it.” Pick a tour that fits your schedule and interests and you will have a great time, learn a lot and be glad you found Sight Seekers.

Virtual walking tour of Jewish Paris was an unexpected delight. We expected to watch a Zoom tour of Paris. We expected to get some information on Jews in Paris. What we weren’t expecting was a Sunday afternoon of spellbinding detail as we wound our way through Paris as a Jew. We were asked to wear a beret or scarf or other French attire as we sip French wine and eat French snacks. Because We were on Zoom, we were able to be introduced one by one and learn that we were from all over the world. Karen then began what I can only describe as an enchanting, funny and tragically touching story of the history of the Jews in Paris. Her eloquence and her command of the historic material was astounding. I literally could have listened to her and looked at the photographs all day long. A couple of hours disappeared so quickly that I was left digesting all of the ideas, facts and beauty Karen had given us. I feel as though I had actually spent the afternoon in the beautiful city of Paris...but with a friend! I look forward to the next tour that Karen offers, and would recommend her tours with no hesitation.

September 6th, 2016 we were in Paris awaiting our month in France with 2 different Rick Steve’s Tours. What’s the one memory we keep talking about over & over & over...the Food Tour with Sight Seekers Delight that we took on our own in Paris! The owner, Karen, was our tour guide and brilliantly taught us about food in France. Now we’ve booked the month of October in France with two different Scenic riverboat cruises and what’s the first thing we did?! You guessed it, booked the Jewish History of Le Marais for Friday October 1st @11AM with Karen as our guide!! Can’t wait to be back in France

Karen is AMAZING. We visited Paris for the first time in October 2021 and she was one of the best parts of our trip. We took her tours of Pere Lachaise Cemetery (a MUST DO and don't do it without a guide or you will be wandering aimlessly looking for Jim Morrison's grave, etc.), the Jewish History tour of Le Marais (so interesting, literally laughed and cried, plus had a delicious lunch at L'As Du Falafel, wait until you see 50 people in line and you get an immediate escort to a table inside), and the Sweet Street food tour (we picked up delicious souvenirs and gifts and tasted so many of the treats on our bucket list). Best of all, Karen is real. We felt like we were strolling the streets with a very knowledgeable friend rather than participating in a bland/canned scripted tour. We learned so much from Karen and can't wait to come back and take more of her tours. Also, Karen is a fabulous resource for other info and questions about Paris/French culture, etc. She is a GEM.

Recently I visited a friend in Paris and did two tours with Sight Seeker’s Paris: the “Whirlwind Tour” and their “Louvre Tour”. Stephanie was the tour guide for both of these tours.
The “Whirlwind Tour” is the BEST tour that any tour group offers in Paris as it showcases the main highlights of Paris in 3 hours! Stephanie, who led the tour, was not only extremely educational but humorous as well and her storytelling is memorable! I learned so much about the history of Paris in a really fun way.
Stephanie was equally delightful for the “Louvre Tour” as well and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. She was also flexible with a time change I needed to make with the “Whirlwind Tour”.
I hope to visit Paris again someday and plan to book some of their other tours. I highly recommend this tour group to everyone going to Paris!

What a great way to shake off our jet lag! Before checking into our apartment in the Marais, the family did a sightseeing tour around some major sights in Paris so we could orient ourselves for our weeklong stay. Karen was a fantastic tour guide, and we got to see some sights and hear stories you wouldn’t normally hear, especially related to the occupation during WW II. Later in our stay we did another fantastic tour of Montmartre through Karen’s company. She and her guides are fun and knowledgeable. Thank you!

Over the years , we have explored Paris with the one and only Karen Reb Rudel. This visit included Eat Like a Parisian and a visit to Pere Lachaise Cemetery. The food was incomparable and the tombs a shelter from the storm. Over the years Karen’s knowledge and sense of humor keeps upping the experience . I plan to take my granddaughters to Paris in 2025 and there is no other person to show them the thrill , the history and the sites of Paris . A tour guide and friend with a special place in our hearts 🩷

We had a custom-designed tour of the Bastille area, Le Marais and ile de Cite given by Steph. As fans of Victor Hugo and Les Miserables we were curious if we could discover any remnants of Old Paris as depicted in Hugo's novel. We weren't disappointed. Steph was very knowledgeable and entertaining as she walked us through some little-known areas of Le Marais and helped us see the area as Victor Hugo would have known it. I encourage the company to expand this theme and call it something like "Hidden Old Paris" and offer it on a regular basis.

I have toured with Karen and her team of guides at least once on each of my 3 trips to Paris over the last 14 years. To say they have raised the bar for walking tours is an understatement. The tour guides are so well educated, talented story tellers with magnetic personalities to boot. Honestly I’m hesitant to take a walking tour with other companies bc I think I will be disappointed. Do whatever you can to go on a few of these tours while visiting Paris! I can’t wait to bring my kids back one day.

What a great guide Karen is! We did both Le Marais and Montmartre with Karen. Wish we did more! Karen is knowledgable, smart, gives interesting insight and willing and able to make recommendations of other things to do in Paris. I was traveling with my 24 year old niece who also really liked Karen.

I've booked an afternoon 'Tickle you tastebuds' tour for this coming Saturday. Ive not had any email confirmation or details of where to meet for the tour. I've sent 2 requests via the website 'contact us' page. Getting a bit worried now as it's a birthday surprise. Should I have heard something by now, and is there another contact email I should use?
Written October 16, 2017
Hi Darryl, we sent your confirmation email for the tour on 21 October back on September 20, then again on September 29 and again on October 14. I will resend the confirmation again just after I finish writing this message. The emails could be winding up in Spam/junkmail (you've given us your hotmail address) - can you check there? Or alternatively do you have a different email address we can try using? Thank you,
Claire

Is there much cross over in areas visited between the Sightseekers of the Night and the Tickle your Tastebuds tours? It doesn't matter if some things are the same but if they are basically the same but with one eating and one story-telling, I am not sure that it would be worth doing both. I look forward to your comments. (We will be staying at Hotel Napoleon by the way which is in the 8thA)

Hi Cara, No there is absolutely no crossover between Secrets of the Night and Tickle Your Tastebuds in terms of route. Both tours are totally different beasts. Please check the company website for more information on both, and to book. Hope this answers your question!
