Tours of a lifetime and worth every penny! I began with the Champagne trip first and then Northern Burgundy tour the day after. Luiz was more than a tour guide on both trips, he ended up becoming a friend, which was an awesome bonus since I was traveling without friends or family from the states. I have told almost everyone I know to go on his tours - even my friends who live in France! His tours were planned perfectly to enjoy wine theory, wine history, site seeing, and culture in an intimate environment. Luiz was such a fantastic guide and he is BEYOND qualified to discuss wine and he knew the BEST wineries to go to - bonus (for us nerds) we got to meet some Wine Makers! His accolades are quite impressive and his English is fantastic. No complaints as I was blown away! SO happy I spent two days sightseeing, drinking and laughing!

I had an amazing time on a tour to Champagne region. Going via Reims we first visited a beautiful church then went onto the first winery. There we had a full tour concluding with a tasting. We then continued to a restaurant in a village nearby where we had an extensive tasting paired with foods. Then going onto another winery for an extensive tour and tasting. Luiz passed on his knowledge of the wines, their shared histories and of the area in a very thorough yet easy to understand manner. Also, making sure to add his own personal touches, going via the Dom Perignon estate was a treat. I hope I get the opportunity to go on another tour again soon with Luiz.

Our North Burgundy tour with Luiz was the highlight of our trip to Paris. He was the consummate host and gladly shared his immense knowledge of wine and wine-making with us. His passion for wine was evident, and we learned so much in such a short period of time. We enjoyed visiting and touring the small wineries (and villages) and loved getting to talk to the winemakers. And we even got to taste a bottle of local wine on the side of the road in a vineyard! It was absolutely magical!!
The groups are intimate (there were only two other couples with us) so you really get to know each other and develop friendships. Although the price initially gave us pause, the experience was well worth every penny. You only live once, and our tour is one that we will definitely remember for the rest of our lives. We very much look forward to our next tour with Wine Tours Paris when we are able to travel again!

This tour is the best and Luiz is amazing!! My cousin and I booked his tour to Burgundy and it was an experience we definitely recommend. There were 2 other awesome girls on our tour too and it was just the perfect day to spend in French countryside. Luiz is very knowledgeable in his area of expertise and he also has good relationships with the vineyards and the families that run them which makes the tour so much more authentic. He took us to a wide array of wineries and you have A LOT of wine tasting. The views are spectacular and it’s like you’re with a local friend rather than a tour guide which is a great plus. If you’re in France and have the chance to book this tour definitely do so, you won’t regret it!

Fantastic experience with Luiz and Wine Tours Paris. We elected to do the Champagne Tour with Luiz, which included visits to both larger champagne houses and more intimate boutique estates. In addition to the tasting, Luiz provides extensive educational background and insights on the history and production of champagne. He also brought our group to various sights in the region, including the Reims Cathedral, an overlook of the Marne Valley, the abbey complex where Dom Perignon once lived, and the famous "Avenue of Champagne." Luiz ensures you are able to sample a variety of different champagnes and certainly made our engagement celebration special and unforgettable. Worth every penny, Luiz and his team go above and beyond.

What an amazing tour! Luiz was so knowledgable, funny and friendly. We felt right at home during our tour and learned so much about Chablis and North Burgundy. We tried countless glasses of wine and learned what made each of them unique. We also had the amazing experience of drinking straight from a barrel, not something you get with every wine tasting. The lunch was a delicious spread of local cheeses, meats, salad, more wine, and plenty of bread. This tour was worth every penny. As an aside, to show what wonderful people Luiz and Caroline are, we had to cancel the original wine tour we had planned because of a death in the family. They immediately rescheduled us on a day they originally didn't have open. Truly an amazing experience. We can't wait to go back and take the other tours!

This tour was one of the highlights of my trip to Paris. Luiz had an awesome trip planned for us at 3 different wineries. Transportation was comfortable and clean. Luiz is very friendly and knowledgeable. It truly felt like we spent the day with a friend, who knew everything about the wine, region and wine making process. He was very generous with his time, knowledge and wine! We booked on his website and it was easier, and cheaper then the travel sites.

We had a wonderful day in Champagne! We learned so much about the region, the grapes and the wine. Luiz is extremely knowledgeable and the tour is nicely balanced with history, wine tasting, eating and conversation. I highly recommend it!

This review is long overdue. My wife and I spent 2 days of our Paris trip with Luiz. One day in North Burgundy and one day in Champagne. They were magical. Luiz is knowledgeable, funny, and kind. He loves what he does and it shows. It was really 2 days my wife and I will never forget. Thank you Luiz, and looking forward to seeing you again soon!

Absolute highlight of my second trip to Paris - I did the champagne day tour as a solo traveler and it was just a lovely experience. Luiz is a fantastic guide - he's incredibly knowledgeable and kind. I also envy his multilingual skills (French, English, Spanish, and Italian if I remember correctly)!
