Positive aspects :
charming neighboorhood nested in Paris. Peaceful,, not touristy at all.
Other aspects :
accesible via metro line 7 bis, not the easiest to catch but definitely a GO.

There are quite a few small villages around Paris with a unique flavor, and this is one of them. Marked by cute little individual houses with small gardens and special design. A bit of an oasis.

In this neighborhood you find a village with 250 charming houses. The facades are colorful, it's like you are in the Provence. What a gem!!

There are a couple of dozen such neighborhoods of houses with gardens scattered around old Paris, but this is one of the most picturesque. Truly charming, hard to believe you are still in the big busy city. Way out of the center. I love areas like this and fantasize about living in one of these row houses. Just charming.

In NE Paris, in the 19th, is an old quarry that was for geological reasons had to be settled with single- and two-storey housesn The quarries are gone, leaving behind a park of NY’s Central-Park impressiveness (les Buttes de Chaumont) and an increasingly hip neighborhood that is a hidden, quiet corner in the Capital. A BnB here can be a calm refuge after a day of working through the crowds in the city Centre (25 minutes on the metro away). Outdoor markets and plenty of (non-luxury) stores are a short stroll (5-8 minutes) away. Pretty good bus and metro connections, and the “beach” scene at the Canal de St. Martin is a 10 minutes walk away.

Picturesque as can be! Cute little colorful houses with front gardens/courtyards. Very pleasant to walk there in summer, the vegetation is dense and makes the streets all the more intimate. The province in Paris.
