Our guide Adai was the best. She was knowledgeable & had a great personality. There wasn’t a question she couldn’t answer. It was the highlight of our Paris vacation.

Well worth a visit to this unique and unusual experience in the middle of the city. Would recommend buying tickets online on the day itself, as they are half price then.

This is an amazing experience of how the French treated their dead. 6 million bodies. They were removed from their cemetery and then buried in limestone quarries under neath Paris. All bones from a cemetery were intermingled.

I’m happy I was able to visit the catacombs. I would recommend buying a ticket in advance so you can skip the lines waiting to enter. Very serene, and incredibly clean. The history is a lot less dark than I imagined, and the upkeep of the catacombs is very thorough and impressive.

All the skip the line tours we did saved us many hours of waiting in the long lines. This tour does require walking down and then back up, about 120 stairs. You are underground in tunnels and caverns the entire tour so if you are claustrophobic, this may not be the tour for you. The tour itself was very informative and interesting, and not nearly as macabre as one might expect. Our guide was great (although I cannot recall his name) and the tour included visits to 2 off limit areas of the catacombs that the general admission tickets did not have access to tour. The tour was a bout 2 hours in length and we enjoyed it a lot!
