Les Jardins du Trocadero is located next to the Tower. With the many fountain cascades and gardens around, you can have wonderful views on the Tower from here.

Went to the playground in the garden with my kid. The playground is big, well equipped and with the stunning view of the Tower. The garden itself is quite nice too. But! It was getting dark when we were coming back home, around 6-7 pm....More

On each visit to Paris, I make a point to visit these gardens, which cascade down the hill with splendid views of the Tower and the Champs. Lots of fountains and statues, all splendid. Spectacular views.

You will of course want to visit the Eiffel Tower but the Jardins du Trocadero offer perfect views and photo opportunities of the tower. You can sit in the shade here in the gentle slopes and eat and admire the tower.

Great views over the tower and overall a very enjoyable place to sit on the grass and have a meal or a drink while looking at the Eiffel tower. We went back three times during our week in Paris. It is quite crowded though (more...More

Located across the river from the famous Eiffel Tower, the sloping gardens are home to beautiful fountains and offer the best views of the tower. They are a favorite place to view the special light show on the Tower at night.

This is the neighborhood of grand and impressive

museums overlook the Eiffel Tower and embassies fill
the avenues and streets. Locals head to the butcher,
florist, or bakery on their daily rounds amidst luxury
and splendor, all with a view over Paris and its most
famous tower. Snuggled in between the grand buildings

Different approach to itinerary...? (3 Replies)
This will be my first trip to Paris and, after reading all the trip reports and tips here, I am thinking of a new approach for my daily itinerary. I will be in Paris for seven days and other than spending several hours at the Orsay, I'm planning to hit 4-5 of the main tourist attractions. The remainder of the time I have mapped out your recommendations for the best chocolates/pastries in Paris. I plan to get to as many as possible and the walks from one shop to the other I'm hoping will take...More

Personally I think it is an absolutely BRILLIANT approach to an itinerary. I really do believe that a visit to Paris ought to be beased on your passions, not what some guide book (or I) say you "must" see. So if chocolate is your guiding star, I say follow your star. As for staying at the Jardins du Troc, I think it might suit you just fine. Even though it is in the 16th I think it is not that far feom the Eiffel Tower/Trocadero area on the right bank. Only thing is that I think restaurants...More
