Magic for all ages but overprized

Ok museum but not more. Too expensive for what you get. Some attractions inside also cost but of course you can skip them. One small spectacle (show) is included and the magician... read more

We enjoyed this boutique double-museum, which included a short magic show. It's in a small underground location which contributes to the magical atmosphere...

Off the beaten track for American tourists - this was a big hit with our boys. They loved the museum displays and the magic show (in French with a bit of English when one of our friends was chosen to participate)

This is a small and pricey museum but is fun and displays a wonderful collection of quirky pieces. There was also a small magic show and despite being so close to the magician it was impossible to see how he was doing the tricks. A lovely place to visit.

A wonderful mix of history, mini magic show (children get invited to take part) and delightful hosts who will happily chat to you and perform magic tricks as you take in the many curiosities, many of which are interactive. Tucked down a little street in central Paris, this was a great find - and the magic is doubled by there... More

This was my second time here, and I must say I enjoyed it as much as the first time. I like best the automatas, but the machines in general are pretty cool. The magic show is nice (better if you know french). For me, the building itself has its own allure, and legend has it that the infamous Marquis de... More

Ok museum but not more. Too expensive for what you get. Some attractions inside also cost but of course you can skip them. One small spectacle (show) is included and the magician was skilled. All ages can enjoy and he spoke both French and English. An older man informed about Houdini (after the spectacle)- all in French and it would... More

This is a cute little museum to visit if your kids enjoy magic, there are regular shows and the staff all seem to do magic tricks along the way. A good gift shop with basic magic tricks will see you spend a few more euro, and the street it is in has a number of interesting little shops and junk... More

As my fiancé is a magician, this was a must-stop for us. It was a quirky, interesting place. We enjoyed the magic show. We mentioned that we were from Las Vegas so the magicians were kind enough to translate the show in English. Also, they were kind enough to answer any questions in English. Several families were present during our... More

Went to Paris with our 9 year old son who is also a budding magician. This is a most fascinating place! One of the best parts is the building it's in. It's deep in this cellar with low domed archways made of very old stone. Lots of antique magic sets. Fun displays for kids. Best part was a magic show... More

When visiting Paris, it shouldn't be a priority. The small museum has some old illusionism apparatus and story and the ticked includes a small magic show, which is followed by a guided tour. Unfortunatelly, for non-french-speakers, it ends up being just a place to see some curiosities and tricks a nothing too overwhelming. Some object descriptions are translated to english,... More

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
