Worth a visit as other reviewers have said. If however you don't take the audio guide then you're pretty much lost!! We found a walk along the harbour and beach much more enjoyable !

It was not well marked and you can easily walk by it without seeing it (as I did the first time). The house is three stories and provides an interesting insight more into the family and mother of Napoleon than the Emperor himself. He actually spent little time here. The audio tour is interesting and the artifacts fine. Most are... More

A very interesting place to visit but as it has so many English speaking tourists, it would've been beneficial to have some of the written information in English. All the written signs, information on the artefacts etc were in French. We got the gist but felt we would've learned much more if some of it had been in English. Fascinating... More

The audio guide of the house that was the home of the Bonaparte family on and off, as he rose in power and position in France. Definitely worth a visit

My kids have studied Napoleon at school so we took the opportunity to show them the place he was born whilst we were visiting Ajaccio. It's an interesting tour but the house has been changed inside so much over the centuries. There are a number of interesting artefacts and installations that are better explained with an audio guide (one offered... More

Neapolitan lived here for a little under a year while in self imposed exile. He did many other interesting things in that short period, but the house is a little dull.

Having been to Paris before and seen all the iconic touristy things, this was on my hit list and was fortunate enough that some of the people I was with wanted to go there too. So off we trotted at a fast pace along the Sienne and explored Napoleon's residence. What a spectacular place with so many nooks and crannies... More

If you have little or no understanding of French, then you absolutely need an audio guide. We did this in 15 minutes. I recommend that you precede the arrival of the great cruise ships because you'll have the house practically to yourself.

This museum is quite interesting and has an audio guide in several languages. The attraction is free for children under 12 years (I think it was) and for adults over 27 years it is 7 Euros. Our kids maybe didn't appreciate this museum so much but we walked through it in less than an hour so they managed to behave.... More
