A statue of Napoleon adorns the top of a pyramid type monument. It took us about 15 minutes to walk from the harbour up to the monument. You can climb steps to top of monument for fine views over the city. Other than that there...More

The monument, dedicated to the cities favourite son, Napoleon, is enormous and extremely impressive, however, other than climbing the steps and admiring the views there, there’s not too much to do here really. Nevertheless, it’s a must do and worth the effort.

Interesting monument of Napoleon. When looking at it, you notice that it may be erected wrong; Napoleon's left hand is over his stomach. You will learn that this monument is the "mirror image" of the same monument erected in Paris where Napoleon is buried. Listed...More

We took a ride on le petit train and had a 15 minute stop at this vast monument. Napoleon stands at the top of huge steps. We climbed up and gazed and came down again. You do not have to pay anything.

Took a while to walk there as chose not to take the tourist train. Very impressive with the drill square in front of it and climbed the stairs for the obligatory photo from the top. Glad we did it but was a lot of effort.

This is a monument to France's greatest son, Napoleon Bonaparte. This is a replica of a statue found in Les Invalides in Paris. Here the statue in built atop a pyramid like structure. There are many steps to climb. Good views from the top. We...More

Stopped here as part of Petit train trip. The monument of Nepolean overlooking the city - reasonable view of the city from the top. The monument is bit far out but within walking distance.

Just like Tiberius's villa in Capri, as it's there you've got to check it out as you may never return as it's off the touristic beaten trap. Once you are there, climbing up to the top of the monument is of course obligatory. There must...More
