We arrived on the Sunday during our cruise stop over not knowing what to expect, it was like a small town, but it was lovely, we walked up to the church as typical tourists not realising the significance of the area we were in. Then...More

An extremely understated working church. Hidden away in the old part of Ajaccio, the cathedral doesn’t look much from the outside but its nice when entering, tranquil and peaceful, with lots of historical significance.

Cathedral is closed between 1130 and 1445. It’s rather small and unassuming. Small planted area in front.

This Cathédrale is just a regular church. Just nice to take a photo or video snapshot. Located nearby the harbor on a 10minutes walk.

My family visited there on June 19. It’s part of our shore excursion from cruise MS.Azamara Quest. That Cathédrale was not very big. But it’s ancient building with impressive architecture . We’d love to seeing this place.

The cathedral has links to Napoleon but besides that it's a rather ordinary church, not much to see. The location is beautiful, right opposite the sea promenade.

The cathedral is plain outside. There are of course connections with Napoleon, as with many buildings in Ajaccio.

Simple outside architecture, nice inside with good pictures and colours. Napoleon related. Worth a brief visit.

Here Corsicans say that Napoleon's mother, Laetitia , had the first signs of suffering in that beautiful Cathedral before giving birth to her famous-to-be son. At some weddings, today, you can hear Corsican polyphonia( Corsican songs "a cappella"( voices only)..it's absolutely thrilling ! amazing!

This cathedral doesn't seem like much from the outside, but it's really nice inside and worth a visit. Plus it has history in regards to Napoleon.
