Impressive statue to Napoleon in his birthplace. Can be reached by short uphill walk from city centre or, as we did, by the little train tour which has a 15 minute stop here for visiting and photo opportunity

Something completely different from the usual basic statues set up. A must do really though if you are visiting the town and it's free to enter the park. Only problem is it's quite a steep walk up from the seafront, especially if it's a very hot day.

We stopped here for 20 minutes as part of our cruise ship tour. Parking is very limited (room for 3 coaches) on a rather steep grade. The area immediately around the monument had a lot of construction happening. It definitely detracts from the site but probably necessary to maintain it or improve it! Oh well, we moved on.

On a hill just from the town centre this monument is striking and worth the aching calf muscles I think

This is a nice statue of Napoleon in the heart of Ajaccio. It is worth the climb to get to very top.

Stopped off at this statue on the land train tour - lots of steps to climb up to the top and you don't have long as the train only stops for approx 15 minutes. Unfortunately on the day we visited there was an event about to take place so they tried to stop people climbing to the top.

Stopped off here for 10-15 minutes while on a land train tour. Its very impressive and high up. There are a lot of steps up to the plinth of the Statue and being lazy did not venture up. Well worth a stop though.

Worth a look at this statue on your visit to corsica. If you are feeling up to it , you can climb up and touch him.
