We stopped for an hour at this lovely town. Large and open areas to enjoy. Good selection of shops and restaurants. The historic old town is beautiful, like going back in time. Great photo opportunities.

Following the Bishop brass plaques on the pavement was an easy way to see all the major sites in Troyes. A wonderful old city with so much history. The Churches and the Cathedral were each interesting in different ways, but truly outstanding.

Interesting town which you can cover in a day, taking time to enjoy good food and drink on a terrrace. The old town centre walk is interesting to do. Brings you all over the interesting points and the rest if to follow you noze

Worth a look, but the old town and churches - cathedrals are the real attractions. Pick up a map from the tourist information with all the attractions on and have a wander. I think you can spend 3 to 4 hours wandering around the old town, parks, churches, cathedral and sculptures. A real good stopover on the way down or up through France.

Pretty stretch of water with some sculptures dotted here and there. Disappointing though because main road running alongside it. Not many places to sit by and have a drink, but probably wouldn't want to with the traffic noise.

We are so glad we chose an overnight stay in Troyes as the city centre has a wealth of medieval buildings such as has long disappeared in the UK. It is a delightful town to wander through, with the river, canals (with playful sculptures dotted around) and lovely old buildings - we have seldom seen so many old timbered houses - as well as nine churches. There is a lively cafe/bar scene too. Having stayed overnight, a return visit looks very likely!

We did follow the signs in the streets of Troyes and ended up here. Many very old Buildings and some churches to see from the outside but avoid the inside not much to see there!

Walk around the town, there is a walk (not yet finished when we were there) marked with brass triangles on the pavement and a templar on it. It brings you to the major things to see in town. Worth to do, only a few kilometers long. If you stop to eat or drink, don't let the prices surprise you... Near the coeur there is more art to be seen, follow the Canal du Trévois, you'll see...
