Interesting tour! Long before Taittinger moved here, there was once an Abbey in the 13th century that was built over the ancient quarry caves. The monks expanded the quarry caves and built more tunnels that they used to keep and transport their wine. The Abbey was destroyed in the French Revolution but remnants are still in the caves. Also, great... More

What a shame. The champagne is outstanding and the tour and history are great. We unfortunately had a very disinterested English guide. She showed no enthusiasm at all, did not engage with any guests, saw it as a chore to serve at the gift shop and couldn't wait to rush people out of the tasting.

Went there 2010 fall, it is not that long of a walk and is quite pleasant. There is also a bus you can take. Tour was OK

A fascinating tour that truly embraces the history of champagne making and really captures the glamour of the product. An excellent selection to suit every palate and pocket !

I very much enjoyed this tour of the Tattinger cellars and the wine tasting that followed. The history of the cellars is well worth the trip alone, and the 6 different bubblies are very enjoyable. The hostess took us through the wine making process as she took us through the facility. If you are at all Interested in wine and... More

Located at a comfortable distance from the center of Reims. We took the tour as advertised on their website. It was handled in a very professional and friendly manner. We enjoyed learning some of the history of the champagne wines as well. Highly recommended to visit.

My husband, me, and our two year old went on the tour and had a lovely time. The tour guide was very knowledgable and provided us with ample information while keeping it fun. I was a bit worried to bring our two year old on the tour but I must admit, we didn't hear a peep out of him. I... More

We took the train from Paris to Reims for a day in champagne country. Our first stop was family-owned Taittinger. I highly recommend taking a taxi from the train station to Taittinger, because it is not a quick walk. Once on the tour at Taittinger, we were very impressed by how ancient the cellars are and the history behind them.... More

My wife and I took a tour of the cellars which was fascinating. The caves here, built by monks to store their wine centuries ago, linked into Roman chalk mines. Fascinating! The tour took around 45 minutes and was followed by a tasting.

We had a basic tour through the caves which took around 45 minutes. It was very informative and interesting. Great to hear some of the history of the company and the site too. Of course, the champagne tasting afterwards was the highlight! Definitely worth the visit and only about 30-40 minute walk from Reims train station. You can book online... More
