The Taittinger tour is a very special visit if you're in Reims. There are various tasting options at the end -- from basic to their most special wines. It was interesting to walk around the underground tunnels. Although I expect they can accommodate you, I think it would be less fun for people who are not able to navigate the... More

The tour was very interesting and we learned a lot. but take your time for the tasting. We combined 2 packages and switched the glasses between the three of us so we could tast alle the different types of champagne.

Our guide spoke very good English although was definitely too scripted for my liking. Interesting introduction video to the history of the family and some anecdotes. Our tour included 2 tastings - the standard brut reserve which was delicious and fresh, and the blanc de blanc Comptes de Champagne which was certainly obviously the vintage, but not to my taste.... I definitely recommend this tour. Our tour guide spoke English like a native and was easy to understand and very knowledgeable. We only tasted their non-vintage champagne but I really liked it -- light, refreshing and not too dry. It was easy to reserve a space ahead of time online.

It's a very interesting experience to see tons of champagne bottles down the caves, and also to learn a bit about how champagne is made. Real champagne at the end of the tour was a real treat. Tour guide was a little nervous though :)

Taittinger provided an entertaining tour lasting about 45 minutes-we visited cellars dating back to 4th century roman excavations - you need to be able to manage approximately 90 steep stairs to get to the cellars-there is a lift for the return to ground level where a perfectly chilled glass of champagne awaits-plenty of parking inside the grounds

I know that a lot of people suggest that this is the most "commercialized" champagne house in Reims but it was by far our favorite. We travelled to Reims from Paris and were able to make it to Veuve Cliquot, Taittinger and GH Martel for tastings (we toured GH Martel and Taittinger). We splurged on the more expensive tasting which... More

Great tour and tasting. Stick with the 2 tasting ticket for about $40 and try for the last tour of the day. When you arrive at the bar all the bubbly will flow freely to finish the day's allotment. Stay sober, French police take DUI very seriously.

Having looked at the options of the different champagne houses in Reims, we decided upon Taittinger as the Tourist Office told us that we didn't need to book in advance. I did look at their website, which was easy to access in English, and book a tour, but we decided to turn up on the day. We decided on the... More
