The tour was really cool, if you have been on a champagne cellar tour before you probably already know all the information and then I would recommend you just come in for a tasting. Of the cellar tours we did (one in Epernay as well) this was the better actual tour. (so if you haven't done a cellar tour this would be the one to book) The champagne tasting was also really nice.

The staff here was so nice! The lady that checked us in was super friendly. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable (was only her second tour but had she not mentioned that you wouldn't have known) and the people in the tasting room went out of their way to have conversations with you. It was a very pleasant experience all around. I just know this tour isn't necessarily in everyone's price range.

We took the tour in French: didn’t understand everything but well worth it. The cavé incorporates sections dating from Roman times and also tunnels from the abbey above that was destroyed during the French Revolution.

Interesting to us in one section were what appeared to be several carved faces and figures, and also extensive graffiti drawings on the walls. The guide mentioned neither but afterwards told us the carvings dated from Roman times and the graffiti from citizens who took shelter there to escape German bombings during World War I.

Learned a little bit about champagne making and a little about Reims history. Topped off with a champagne tasting, which made a satisfying afternoon.

We arrived at Reims yesterday morning, and although it was cold we were received by a magnificent guide, Martin! He took the time to show us around the city and gave us amazing insights into the city, its architecture, and the culture that holds it together. One of the things that makes this trip memorable and unusual is the opportunity to contrast one of the biggest brands of champagne to a small champagne house, both with an equal spirit for excellence while having different approaches. Amazing trip, highly recommended and btw Martin has outstanding English. :)

I've been to many wineries , tastings and Reims before. I selected two tasting worth $100 euros. I found this to be very amateurish . The greeting was so-so, the waiting area like a train station. This tour was not elegant . The cellar tour was OK. but the tasting was very unprofessional. For the group of 20 or so the wines were already poured and there were about two other tours for about 60 people in large room with terrible acoustics and no where to sit and savor the tasting. I would recommend going to Veuve Cliquot where they great you enthusiasm , take you a more intimate and exciting tour and then depending on the tasting you selected, they take you to a private area , pour your tasting in front of you and discuss the wines with you. "L'instant Tattinger" really was third rate at best

Disclaimer: I love Taittinger Champagne and felt like a bit of a fanboy coming here. That said: the tour was well done, delivered by an informed and engaged guide and was very informative. More importantly, the underground chalk cellars and passage ways are AMAZING. Seeing stacks of tens of thousands of bottled Champagne awaiting its day was fascinating.

As the tours are the same, you can save money by not opting for the best post-tour bubbly. I would recommend this.

Visiting for my partners birthday we were lucky enough to have arranged a private tour and tasting.
Met by our host who was lovely and her knowledge was second to none having worked with the family Taittinger for almost 30 years.

The short introduction video is enough to give you a teaser of what you tour host will tell you in much more detail.

Walking done the spiral staircase to the caves you sense the history and you’ll not be disappointed.

Learning along the way why and how things happen so as to ensure the perfect bottle of champagne. How the Riddler conducts his work on turn the bottles just a quart, how the Rose Jeraboems are clear bottles and not the normal green to even understanding how the fermentation works. A superb tour in an amazing environment.

We were taken off to enjoy our tasting in the quiet of a private room - several bottle including a vintage, Brut, and Rose were sampled along with detailing the significant differences between them.

Our whole tour and tasting took just over two hours but it flew by and we had such a wonderful time.

It must be amazing to work for a family that has its values pinned on it shirt but also bottled in a perfectly tasting family of champagne - That’s Taittinger!!!! 🍾

Thank you for making Jens day so perfect and memorable 🥂

We planned to visit Reims while holidaying in Paris and it was a worthwhile day trip. We opted for the Tattinger tour and weren't disappointed.

There's short welcome video before you descend into the vast cellars below the former abbey. The guide was informative and it was honestly fascinating to hear how Champagne is produced and the different varieties. I love Champagne but I didn't appreciate the work that goes into producing a bottle of it.

The cellars are very impressive and the tour overall was informative and enjoyable.

Based on the ticket your purchased you get to try one, two or three glasses of Champagne at the end of the tour.

We based ourselves in Eperney for our champagne weekend, but it was worth the train ride to Reims for a visit to Taittinger! It’s one of the most historic locations within the Champagne Region with remains dating back to Roman times. On the site of Taittinger used to be an Abbey, the remains of which are the cellars now.
The tour is brilliant and informative. It’s one of only 6 Champagne Houses to have the Chalk pits excavated by the Romans as it’s cellars. Simply stunning!
A tasting of the Brut is the finale to this tour, and as I’d suspected beforehand, it tastes even better in the champagne house then from the bottle of an overpriced restaurant!

My friends and I did a day trip to Reims (only 45 min on the fast train) and went to Taittinger cellars. I did not go in with any sort of expectations, just thought it would be a cool/different experience. I was pleasantly surprised.

The cellars themselves are extremely interesting and dripping in history. These cellars are huge - like don't get lost kind of huge. The tour goes beyond the champagne and discusses how the cellars were used by 1100 AD monks, throughout the world wars, etc.

The tour guide was very friendly and knew his stuff. I definitely learned a lot about the champagne process in a way that was digestible for someone like myself that is not very well versed on the subject. For those that know a bit more, the guide was happy to answer any questions.

The tasting itself felt a bit rushed at the end, but I think that was more a product of the other tour participants (the guide was not rushing anyone out).

I was very happy with our time at Champagne Taittinger and would recommend!

The tour of the Taitinger cellars is a interesting and well organised experience. The tour moves quickly, giving sufficient information at all points to give a good overview of the champagne making process as well as the history of the house itself.

However it is clearly an advertisement for the house and people are only there for the tasting at the end. No one asked questions, or actually seemed to be listening for much of the tour.

This is worth doing if you've never visited a cellar before, but if you're in Reims to try some innovative and interesting champagnes, this is not the place to do it.
