    Educational visit!
Hello, just had one of the best visits from the cave. Clotilde was our guide. She explains very clearly, gives you the detailed information without overloading you. She is witty, friendly and speaks English very well. Thank you

    Amazing visit
Gaultier was an amazing guide through the cellars. Our group of 4 Scottish ladies and an Irish couple had such a fun and informative time. We left feeling that we'd made new friends. Gaultier has so much knowledge and imparts it in a gun and friendly way. We all left so much more informed. From Pauline and her friends, thank you Gaultier. We hope to see you next year

    MUST DO!!! CHAMPAGNE IN CHAMPAGNE!
WHAT AN EXPERIENCE! For 40 euro per person, we did the Imperial tasting. We got about an hour tour of the cellars downstairs and then two glasses (with great pours for a tasting by the way) of some champagne. Inoia, our tour guide, was so passionate and knowledgeable. She really made the whole experience. We had so many issues with our trains getting here from Paris, but wow was it worth it.

    A very classy experience
We did this tour as 4 cousins and had Ainoa as our guide. She was truly amazing and her passion for the whole thing transpired out of her After a very interesting visit of the caves we then did the tasting in a beautifully decorated room in candlelight. We were never rushed and tasted 3 different champagnes. Well worth it !

    Well Known Stop
World famous Moet champagne house. One of the must-sees. Parking on site sometimes - just depends on the crowds. Easy to walk to, or park nearby if driving. Good size gift shop, tours available. There's also a lounge to the left of the entrance that includes a hat worn by Napoleon during exile on Elba. Lots of history here. Worth a stop. Bathrooms on site as well.

So worth a visit - even for the non-drinker!!
I don't even drink yet I'm still giving this tour a 5 star rating. The history of the venue and champagne making was eye opening, I learnt so much and loved it all. The underground tasting room was lovely Would highly recommend.

Dom Perignon will meet you at the entrance.
The most famous champagne producer in Epernay is waiting for tourists almost at the beginning of Avenue Champagne, a stone's throw from the city hall. Moet et Chandon traces its history back to 1743 and its cellars stretch 28 km underground. At the entrance you will be greeted by a statue of one of the most famous monks in the world - Dom Perignon. The French came up with the idea of corking unkindly new wine in bottles. But it was the Benedictine monk Pierre Perignon who developed the technology of turning grapes into sparkling wine. Whenever we open champagne, we meet with its discoveries - a special bottle and a cork. The wire-musical was allegedly invented by the widow Clicquot. Inside the Chateau Moet et Chandon, you can admire champagne installations and buy a bottle of one of the most famous champagnes in the world. Frankly speaking, it's not too cheap...

    Tastings
We didn’t tour the cellars (we did a tour at a smaller champagne house and figured they are all more or less the same). Anyway, you can walk around the gift shop and then do a tasting at their bar. Which is more of a lounge actually. There is no bar counter. Prices are high, obviously. But the service is nice and the lounge is well kept with nice views.

Excellent champagne, service and bathrooms! DO IT!
We didn't do the tour but we did sit at the outdoor bar (which is very nice) and ordered a vintage bottle of Dom. It was an amazing experience with great service. We bought a set of six Moet & Chandon champagne glasses at the end and they bubble wrapped them so well they all made it back to the US unscathed in a checked bag. It is worth a stop whether you are doing a tour or not. They have very nice bathrooms as well.

On 20th July 2024 4.20 PM we have attended MOET guided tour and were highly impressed. We have attended other guided tours at Champagne houses before, but if someone asked me to pick the best one in Champagne, I would undoubtedly recommend MOËT. We have been more than lucky with our guide Violeta - the information was presented professionally and with humour. Also, the tour was very informative - we have received a lot of information on the champagne preservation. Furthermore, we loved tour’s agenda, because there was enough time to get acquainted with the premises and take pictures. We have also been impressed with the reception and degustation halls. Our guide Violeta was very attentive and answered all our questions. Highly recommended!

This tour was such an incredible experience. We had previously done some others whilst on our trip but this one in particular really was the most memorable.

We did the group tour, I think it was €25.00 and this included a cellar experience with a glass of champagne at the end. My advice would be to book early though, there are better value offers than this. I think for €30 you can get the same tour but to include two glasses. We booked late so didn't have a choice!

There were around 12 people in our group so it did not feel over crowded at all. Our tour guide was a book of knowledge and delivered the tour superbly.

The cellars are impressive to see. I don't want to give too much away but this is the biggest Champagne house in the world, the sites you see down there are unbelievable!

It lasts around 1.5 hours if I remember correctly, so definitely worth squeezing in if your visiting Epernay.

My wife and I had a wonderful Imperial tour and tasting visit at Moet and Chandon Champagne house. Our tour guide Daisy was superb. She reviewed the history of Moet and Chandon in Epernay, guided us through a very interesting visit to the champagne cellars, and discusssed the process of champagne production. Daisy was not only personable and knowledgeable, but she was able to provide information in a clear and concise fashion. We enjoyed the tasting of both the Imperial Brut and Rose champagnes outside near the beautiful English garden.

My husband and I decided to go to Epernay for a day trip. And we stubled across Moet et Chandon Champagne Cellars and went in after lunch for a tour. The only available tour that suited oiur schedule was the Imperial Moment Tour which was about 34 Euros. The tour consisted of Visit the cellars and enjoy a glass of both the Moët Impérial and Rosé Impérial and went for 1 hour and 15 mins. It was a fantastic tour which went into the history of the Champagne house and also the process of producing a bottle of champagne. If this is the only tour you do in Epernay it is worth it!

We took a tour of the wine cellars at Moët et Chandon which was guided by an amazing guide. Lili took the time to explain everything about the cellars, how the champagne was made and what the difference between the different grapes and types of champagne by Moët et Chandon were. She was keen to answer all our questions and she did it in a very passionate way. She was enthousiast if and gave a lovely tour. Also the sommelier Adam was very helpful and gave us interesting information about the champagne. We would highly recommend this!

Its of course impressive to walk around the cellar. Nothing really special if compared to others. Very classy and you feel the guide is not welcoming questions with curiosity. You get a glass of champagne at the end and the left over in a bottle is send back to the pantry which we found a bit cheap not to pass it around...

If you are visiting the champagne area in France a stop off in Epernay with a visit to Moët er Chandon is a must. For 25 euros we enjoyed a brilliant, informative and, at times, mind-boggling tour followed by a glass of fantastic champagne. Well worth the money and a visit we will always remember.

The Moet et Chandon maison is undoubtedly one of the most iconic, famous and beautiful in all of Champagne.
The visit, even if in a slightly too large group, was well done, with in-depth visits to the quarries (including the Dom Perignon quarries).
However, the tasting was a little disappointing (Moët Imperial and Rosé Imperial), which are certainly inferior in terms of entry level to other producers.

We enjoyed our Tour of Moet, but... it lacked the personal vibe of Veuve Clicout. The guide was knowledgeable, though she was very rehearsed and lacked warmth.

While the caves and the story are super interesting, the presentation seemed repetitive and even corporate. The ambiance is very chic, but again, it's as if you're in a fancy mansion and you're the cheap relative. (You can tell from the furnishings in the Tasting Area.) It seemed as if they believed in their own 'hype.'

There were only 2 drinks to taste and the guide was very rushed as if waiting to get to the next group. Everything led to the Gift Shop where they expected you to 'drop' several hundreds or thousands on purchases...

It totally made us rethink our love of Moet as a brand...

We have wanted to do a Champagne tour for a number of years now and we finally managed to do this one. It is very, very surprising just how many bottles there are in the cellars and it is very hard to comprehend the sheer size of the tunnels. Our guide spoke a number of languages fluently which was very useful as our group had people from all over the world. The tour was very informative and covered history, geography and science of champagne production. This is a must do activity if you are visiting Epernay.
