very well done! An interesting presentation of skilled trades history in the region. Preserved and archived works of master craftsman; cobblers, bakers, metal smiths, carpenters etc. Well documented history and events of one of the first unions for skilled trades.

The museum had been recommended to us and what a great find - the amazing craft guilds represented here give an insight of the levels of skill of a variety of artisans from bakers to carpenters. Excellent way to spend an hour or so.

This is a museum of craftsmanship! Masters of various trades, some now historical relics, are represented here - timber framing, blacksmithing, cobblery, knotting, etc. Very fascinating insight!

This museum presents a fascinating part of French history I hadn’t heard much about before - their trade guilds. It is obvious from the museum that the tradespeople took great pride in their work. The museum is cluttered but organised. They have an English guide...More

"Compagnonnage" refers to an apprentice-type association of craftspeople, and we spent an hour totally engrossed in the variety and complexity of guild-level crafts and art objects. Would recommend this museum for something a little different.
