Beautiful grounds and tasting room. Views of gardens and wines. Owner was friendly, conversational with lots of neat insights into the terroir. Inventive white in terracotta cask - something special. Good reds. Easy parking.

Enjoyed the visit and the tasting host more than the wine. The best of the bunch was the chenin produced in terra cotta vessels. Very bright bubbly sparkling. Nice views.

My wife and I visited Chinon in the middle March, primarily because we've started drinking Chinon reds and think they are one of the great bargains of France. Our preference when visiting wineries and tasting rooms is to find less industrialized outfits that are more...More
