This is the best Chateau we have seen in the Leor valley. It is well furnished with excellent pieces and authentic décor. The flower arrangements are outstanding and all real. The gardens are also well planted and look great eve in mid January. Couldn’t fault it – a must see.

We started our tour to the chateaux and castles of the Loire valley by visiting this chateau, We stayed in a hotel in Charge near Amboise which was a good location to tour this area by car. I think that this way of touring the area is the most economical for our family of five people, and also the most... More

Such a goregous castle to visit - it is a whole experience where one can first start by visiting the castle itself and getting acquainted with the very particular love entangles that have characterised this castle. Following that, one can stroll the magnificent gardens and the maze. It is an enchanting experience. We visited on January 1 which was magical... More

I visited the castle on 26th December 2016: the melding of the Christmas decorations with the crackling fireside in a cold and foggy day gave us a very good impression of what could be the life at Chenonceau before the invention of the heaters! One of the most prestigious and elegant castle of the Renaissance period! A bit expensive, though.

I've been there during the winter time and though all the castles were empty, no tourists at all (which was a good thing) inside the castles are really really... More

We visited this Chateau most recently in November. The fall gives it a special charm plus they decorate magnificently for the holidays. I have been here three times and each time found a new piece of history. This is a beautiful place to see. Grab a lunch in a French village and visit a nearby winery. You will have a... More

AMAZING castle, great Xmas decorations, very few visitors in December. What a treat! Kitchens and the gallery were particularly enjoyable. Very clear explanations.
