I loved the Chateau de Chenonceau. We didn't have the audio guide but followed the book we were given when we bought our tickets. Very easy to follow and informative. This great historic monument is easy to navigate and full of incredibly interesting stories. Well preserved and overall a great experience.

Wow, every angle of this chateau is incredible! Absolutely amazing architecture. The main hall was astounding, especially at Christmas time! I knew a little of Diane and Catherine but to see and read about their lives and work here was so interesting. Make sure to walk around the grounds -- gorgeous old farm, the tree-lined waterways, gardens, stables, etc. are... More

incredibly beautiful edifice, this is a must see for anyone visiting castles in France along the Loire river valley. Built in several stages and over centuries, it has 2 well planned lovely gardens. Take sufficient time to visit all the rooms, halls and the kitchen.

I cannot express the magic of this palace enough. It is the landmark for French history. The main hall is beautiful as are the small rooms that hang over the water making you feel like you're floating in air. The gardens are also beautiful. I strongly recommend getting a tour guide to explain the rich history and share exciting historic... More

I loved our day at Chateau de Chenonceau! Our English speaking guide was wonderful and the tour was great. The way the castle is situated on the lake and the history surrounding the castle is so interesting. The castle grounds are extensive and worth spending time exploring too.

Feels amazing to walk where once king, Queens and dignity walked and stayed as well as when it was transformed as a hospital during the war. Just amazing and is a must if you vist the Loire Valley. So many castles are worth visiting but this one is a must.

Because of the cold weather, the vast gardens were devoid of any flowers as printed on the brochures. But the chateau management more than made up for it with the beautiful Christmas decorations inside. Each room had its own theme colour and its unique flower arrangement. I didn't know a Christmas tree could look so magical with black decorations. We... More

The Castle of Chenonceaux is not particularly impressive neither architecturally elaborate. But its location "inside" the lake, makes it a very romantic place. It also has some interesting paintings. But the best thing is to imagine Caterina De 'Medici strolling in the long room on the lake, after getting rid of the lover of her husband, the King Francis I.... More

Lovely story and history to this place. Beautiful grounds and walk in great gardens and a maze which is fun but easy if you are 5 feet high or more. The castle is beautiful inside and outlook over the river is just stunning. Easy to get around but there are around 25 stairs between each of the levels.
