An enjoyable evening stroll in a historic city.

Its worth your time and I can guarantee you wont be disappointed. Fabulous medieval buildings, beautifully lit. A great atmosphere, I will do it again next summer.

Active during the Summer period ,what is essentially slide shows with music attracts many visitors during the evenings.Cheerful and atmospheric , it is a pleasant way to discover the history of this historic town. However, it's days are numbered. Deterioration of the slides, and the Town Hall having sold the writes to a third party suggests the short term vision... More

Enjoyed walking to the sites of history and having them lighted up with music. Loved it! Just follow the blue lighted path to find all of the locations.

Not knowing what to expect, happened upon first venue returning from restaurant. Then sought out the other places. Very impressive and kudos to whoever came up with the idea. Don't want to spoil this hidden surprise. It's free so take advantage of it when visiting this charming old town.

Definitely worthwhile to experience this attraction when staying over in Bourges. Interesting from an aesthetic and historical perspective. It takes about 1.5 hours to complete. And it's free.

Starting at 10:00 PM during the summer the old town is lit with blue lanterns that you follow to see films and other historical renditions in the local buildings. This is a free activity and takes between 60 and 90 minutes depending on how much time you want to spend at each attraction.

I have been in Bourges the past few days visiting a friend. He and I had dinner last night and walked through the town visiting the different spots of the 'Nuits Lumiere.' The slides are beautiful and inspiring, pairing with the Renaissance music (mostly choral) wonderfully. I highly recommend this magical and free event. PLEASE promise me you will be... More

Why do our cities take advantage of this technology as it brings life to inner cities and keeps them lively. So nice to just wander before turning in.

We were lucky enough to have this mentioned to us during a trip to the Tourism Office. We took the tour alone, following the map, and it was very interesting and delightful. Pay attention that nothing is translated. Therefore, if you don't know French, it may loose some interest.

My husband and I planned to include Bourges in our 12 day visit to France specifically to see the Les Nuit Lumiere. We read the website that said it began in May and was on Friday and Saturday nights. We waited until dusk and made our way to old town to view the lighted buildings. Guess what? No illuminated buildings.... More
